Hi, download sound codec and install it in your system. After installing it, restart your computer.

There is a screeching sound coming from acer aspire 4738Z we can hear our own voice when the headphones are put on and when we take the headphones off the sound starts coming again sometimes it stops on...

LOL you hear feedback noise, it's feedback! Go into the sound settings and in the mixer for audio output, mute MIC. (the built-in microphone for webcam conferencing, evidently.) Don't worry that it will keep you from using the mic (pron. 'mike') in the input mixer, because that's a whole other section of the 'board'.

It could of course also be some other app doing the ill-filtered mixing, but see the mixer settings first.

I have no sound

Need more input. Could be speakers, could be drivers. Can you plug headphones in the output of the audio card and hear anything. Does it happen while playing cds or normal operation? . . ..

No sound comming from audio volume

First check if you have the speakers pin (green) connected in tothe proper green socket on the back of the computer.

If yes, then right click on the sound / speaker icon that is near to your clock on the right bottom, and click "Adjust audio properties"

Now click the sounds tab in the audio properties.

Select any sound from the list under program events, and click the play button near the browse button. It should play a sound.

If you are not able to hear any sound BUT the play icon changes to the stop icon for a few  moments, it means the sounds play alright but something is wrong with the speakers or the connections.

No sound from my logitech z4 subwoofer

Is there sound coming from the 2 speakers?

Subwoofers are designed to only play bass, you shouldnt hear much acoustic sound coming from it at all.

The best way to test that is to play a song with a good amount of low bass, see if you hear it coming from the woofer, or can you feel the woofer vibrate?

If there is a hole in the side of the woofer box, when you are playing the song is there any air coming out of that hole to the bass line beat?

I dont know how you have your wiring set up, but if it still isnt working please check to make sure that you have the wiring plugged in properly.

If there is anything else I can do to help please let me know. I hope this fixes your problem.
