Ditto for me.  I've found sites that tell me they have links to download the program to run memorex's exPressit program for Macs, but none of the links work.  Any ideas?

I cant track my macbook. do i need to install a gps device?

Check out LoJack to see if it can be installed on the computer. If it ever gets lost that can locate it and shut it down and even erase the hard drive if necessary

I am running OS X 10.4.11 and would like to upgrade my operating system?

Please provide more information.
To what would you like to upgrade it?

Since OSX Mavericks was just announced, I'm going to assume that's what you're wanting to upgrade to.

Not all Macs can run Mavericks.

Mavericks Capable Macs

Mavericks, like its predecessor Mountain Lion, requires one of the following Macs with at least 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of available hard drive space:
  • iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
  • MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
  • MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
  • MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
  • Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
  • Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
  • Xserve (Early 2009)

If your Mac isn't one of the ones listed above, you won't be able to upgrade.

If you have an iMac, MacBook, MacBook Pro, or Mac mini model that was originally released in Early/Mid 2006, the latest version of Mac OS X your system supports is Snow Leopard.

My macbook is only playing the sounds when i hook my headphones in but as soon as i take them out, i cant hear anything, can someone help me?

Hold down on the Apple in the upper left-hand corner of your screen.

1. Select System Preferences

2. Click on the Sound icon

3. In the Sound Dialog click Output

4. Click on Internal Speakers (Also verify the Mute box is clear)

If that does not work then it could be the headphone jack is damaged.

well my concern about mac is that if you installed any program on it, it will put an id onto it and if you'll use that installer to windows or other operating systems you cannot use it anymore because it does not contain the same ID number as mac does
