Question about Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router
We have a WRT54G router. I have a laptop here in the office that recognizes our businesses wireless capabilities and is asking for a passphrase or network key. I am the first person here to attempt this. No idea what my laptop is asking for. After I get this phrase is there any additional set up required?
Liz I have a new laptop ACER and have an older linksys wrk54-g and after is set it up with wep it gave me a number a 20 number code and wep it supose to be only 6 am I right
The passphrase only means that there is a security enabled on that wireless network. You are correct, you need to know that passphrase for you to be able to successfully connect your laptop to that wireless network.
If you need more help on how to get this passphrase just let me know.
