Truemobile 2300 router

My router does not seem to be working and teh wireless light is off - I have tried resetting it several times but after 1-2 seconds the wireless light goes off. I cannot access my router page beacuse I have connected teh DSL directly to my computer. What can I do? Is my router dead?

You may need to enable the wireless signal within the router settings, but you will have to connect to it via an RJ45 lan cable, as you would of when you first set it up. Type in the routers ip address in your internet browser and get into the routers settings that way.

To isolate the problem try installing the adapter to a different computer and if it works there it could be that your card slot is defective. As for the router try to reset it

I have a TrueMobile 2300 router and my security code is not working. How can I change it?

The only way to reset the password if you can't remember the old one is to reset the device. To load the Dell TrueMobile 2300 Wireless Broadband Router's default settings, hold down the reset button on the router for at least five seconds. While the unit resets, the Power light blinks.
Then navigate to the router through your browser and Type the following as your username:
admin
Type the following as your password:
admin
Click the OK button.
The Dell TrueMobile Setup Page appears.

Click the Advanced Settings tab.
Click the OK button.
Click the Administration Settings button on the left side of the page.
Put a check in the box to the left of the Change Your Password setting under the section of the page titled Password Settings.
Type the password that you want to use in the New Password field.
Retype your password in the Retype Password field.
Click the Submit button.
Another window appears stating You have successfully submitted the settings to this device!
Click the Save and Restart button.
Your new password will be saved into the router settings.

This will however wipe all your settings!

Dell truemobile 2300 shows connected to internet, but isn't

When you reset the router, did you first shut the router down, then unplug the modem (wait 30 seconds), reconnect the modem (wait for all lights to go to "normal mode"), reconnect router to power, check for activity light on modem, wait about 30 seconds after all is powered up? If not, try that sequence and let me know if it works.

Before you throw it, save all the settings in router and try a re-start or there is normally a re-set button somewhere to press and set it back to factory settings. If the wireless re starts re-load previous settings. Please rate solution.
