I have just received an update for my computer but some apps have updates that I do not want. How do I undo these updates? Or can I at all?

If it is an App store software update the combined updates can be broken down into their parts by clicking the 'more' at the end of the description; then you can choose updates separately. If you want to be selective with software updates make sure to turn off automatic updates in system preferences/App store. If you can find the earlier version of the App you didn't want to update, it may be possible to install the earlier version.

Why does my MacBook Air keep telling me that my facebook account is locked?

This may have more to do with your Facebook account than with your MacBook itself. Try signing into Facebook from another computer using your user name and password. If your account is OK, change your password. Go back to your macBook and log in with your news password. I have the problem with my Ipad sometimes. Often Facebook will send you a message apologizing for problems logging in. Try logging in from that message.

2010 13" Macbook pro will do is screen saying "Enter your system lock PIN code to unlock this Mac

The Mac is locked and has it say you need a code to open, so if you know the person who gift you the Mac ask for the code if no the only remedy is to re-load the system but you will need the the copy of the O.S.

My mac laptop keeps getting the spinwheel when I try to connect to the internet or open any applications. The computer is basically frozen. Any suggestions?

shut it down, press power key and hold.
then start up holding shift key this will check the hdd and allow access to your files. (maybe backup at this stage, depends on you)

If it will not start the try this
start up holding down apple and s, you will see black screen with white lettering.
wait until all is started the type
fsck -f
then press return, this will force the hdd into testmode in unix.

do not type anything else,
when it is finished you can restart your mac.

before you try this you can create a test user and try the thing that causes the problem in that profile if the same thing happens ie mac hangs or freezes, then try the above steps. if all of this fails then back up your data and reformat the mac and reinstall the os

hope this helps
thanks for using FixYa

I installed a new version of Java on my Mac and now I cannot open my lime wire or uninstall the new java program.

Java updates are part of the Software Updates that Apple provides directly. As such it cannot be uninstalled without completely erasing your computer and reinstalling the system.
Instead of doing this, though, all you should need to do is open Applications and drag and drop the Limewire icon onto the trash, the go to, download the latest version, and reinstall Limewire.
