Re: My tv video is turn off but sounds perfect
You cannot rejuvinate a Sony CRT without permanate damage. The set monitors the red, green and blue cathodes for current drain. If one cathode is drawing conciderbaly less current then the other two well then a blank picture will result. You notice when you turn the TV on the timer light flashes and when it stops the picture appears? I bet the timer light is flashing alot longer than it used to. This is just a sign of a failing CRT and the TV won't be worth replacing it as Sony CRT's tend to be on the expensive side.
Donot quickly replaced the tube! try this first get 2 megohms 1/2w resistor solder it between blue gun and green gun.if this make the picture still, bad tube.u can still rejuvinate it.if not,bad capacitor in vertical or bad g2(screen) adjuster.

My understanding is that an LCD TV has a fluorescent tube for a backlight, an LED TV is LCD with an LED array for the backlight. Depending on what type TV, it's possible a technician could replace the fluorescent tube or whatever and get it working again. If it's a CRT TV, you might need a new PS or CRT.
Blinking 5 times is a sign of at least one of the three video tubes overcurrenting, which will eventually shut off the image. It happened with me but with my red tube over-illuminating. The solution is to reduce the drive intensity on the offending tube. Remove the front speaker grill. Behind it you will find a panal with 6 pots, these are drive (brightness) and focus for each of the 3 colors. My fix was to turn down the red intensity to zero and (after a restart) bring it up slightly till the image was acceptable, colorwise. I did have to adjust all 3 intensities to get a decient color balance along with the focus's on all three tubes (the drive intensity adjustments will knock the focus out as you go). I used the auto-adjust patterns to focus on, and you may want to use a stationary image, such as a paused DVD scene or a video game, to focus on. I still haven't found a way to clear the error code, but I learned to ignore it. The result isn't perfect, but it's very acceptable and it'll do for awhile (and it didn't cost anything!). Good Luck.
Okay, is the sound coming out and no image/video, if so, on your AV cable at the connection to your Xbox there should be a switch on one of the sides it switches between HD TV and TV if your TV does not support HD then switch it to TV and it should work perfectly hope this helps your situation :))
