Question about HP DeskJet 648c InkJet Printer
My printer won't print because it says it is out of paper when it's not also there is no paper jam i already checked .
There should be a paper sensor somewhere either to sense paper in the holder, or to sense as a sheet is pulled into the printer. It is likely there is a plastic finger which contacts the paper, and the other end of this finger either actuates a switch or an optical sensor. Sometimes this finger can get broken, and thus the printer gives a false paper-out error. This sensor & finger may not be visible without removing covers, partial disassembly.
