I have a Nexus plasma TV and the other day it completely shut off while we were watching TV. We unplugged the TV, plugged it back in and the power would come back on for about 4 seconds, then shut off again. I called the company today and they said it sounds like it's in the Power Board. Cost for parts is about $250.00. Not including labor from the repair store. I've tried to find the part and have a friend who is smart with electronics install it, but we can't find anyone who sells the part. I've checked a couple of parts sights mentioned on here, but no luck.
I appreciate any help you can give. Not sure if it's worth $400 to fix, after labor fees. Our luck, something else will go wrong in about 3 months and it'll be another $400. May be best to buy a new one? We've had this one for 2 years.

Your television has generally several receiving modes...such as video 1/2, cable, dvd , satellite, ext antennae. So make sure that it is set on external antennae. Then you will probably need to program in the stations that it is receiving again.. Meaning that ..before bought and installed this product your tv only recognized the channels with reception..now you need to run a new channel scan.. One last thing make sure vcr/dvd/tv button on any other devices you have is in the TV position..or if it is not make sure the signal amp is going into the input plug in the back of that device...rather than directly into the back of your tv... I think the combination of these things will solve your problem. good luck
you will have to use component cables with rca's
from xbox plug to rca to plasmas component input
use your plasmas remote to locate a channel to tune int channel o your xbox, when you turn on xbox the start screen should show, dont need a disk for tuning just playing
there could be the following reasons.
If there is the red light on indicating the power reaching the TV then your power supply unit may be faulty. Open the back cover and look where the power cord goes and meet the components inside and it would also have a transformer like thing on it. This is the PSU module. If any of the capacitors is bulged or burst then that needs replacing with one of exactly the same specifications. Do that.
Second is that there is no indication of the power reaching the TV. In that case check the plug and the wall socket and also the power on switch on the TV. Whatever is faulty should be replaced.
I am a student, so like everyone we dont have money to buy a new tv and if there is an sollution for this problem we always want the cheapest one.
Well, i came up with one. At the back of the tv there are several air vents, so what happens, is that the heating coil of the tv does not heat up enough to start the tv. What you must do is take a hair dryer and set it to the heating option. Blow the tv at the back throug al the vents for about 30 to 60 seconds and try to put it on. I promise you this will work!
Please rate this sollution.
Looks like you got a bad converter. I have the same kind and it is a pain that you can't use the remote to also control the TV. It will turn itself off after 2 hours by itself if you do not change the options, but the symptoms you describe are beyond consumer repair.
Do you still have the manual? There is a toll free number to contact them and ask for a replacement. If you do not have it I can provide it tomorrow. (I am not at home right now.) Of course you can only get one of the same converters.
