every time i open my camera it reads "NO MEMORY CARD" even when there is. I'm sure i didn't put it on wrong.... this just started today, I'm not sure why, but i think its because i dropped it last night while i was out....should i have it repaired? i wouldn't to spend so much...PLEASE HELP!
Memory cards go bad, that?s a fact of life. I?ve found that trying to read a camera formatted card in a PC is not always a reliable test, borrowing another working card and trying it in your camera is. If you can?t borrow one another cheap test is to purchase an inexpensive card and trying that. You can generally find older (smaller capacity) cards on sale for $20 at Best Buy. If a new card doesn?t work then I would go the route of repair shop?..
Umm if it was dropped and this is occuring after i would suggest taking it in to get repaired...
However if you have a card reader or anything like that(most new labtops have the built in) shove the card into one of them and see if the computer can read it...if computer can read it I think the camera needs some work.

My PowerShot A700 has been a great camera. Recently the lens cover has not been closing. As a result there is a small scratch that is hardly discernable and does not seem to affect the quality of photos, although I am sure it does. The flash has also stopped working consistently. What would be the cost of repairing

My Canon A700 has always worked pefectly, lately however the red low battery signal keeps flashing even after changing the batteries. I can take close to 350 pics with the battery signal constantly flashing. When the batteries do actually ware out I get a message in text at the bottom of my screen. Anyone know how to cancel the red flashing battery symbol. Thanks

Sir, I am using Canon A700 series and it has clicked very good/clear pictures consistently, even in optical zoom. However, recently I had to delete some snaps from the memory card as i ran out of space and continued clicking snaps. I found that the snaps are not clear anymore, if digitally zoomed it showz dots and also blurness. I fail to understand if the same batteries, same camera man, is used then why is there sudden loss in clarity in pictures. Kindly help me ernest india
