First. Turn on the set and see if the Lamp Illuminates, If so then you have a bad Color Wheel. If the Lamp does not light up, you have a bad lamp. Take out the lamp and look to the center of the lamp. If you see broken glass inside you have a bad lamp.
The squeeking sound could be the high voltage trying to strike the lamp, it will try several times to strike the lamp then shutd down. Take the bulb out and see if it s blown. Even if it is not blowen it sounds like you have a bad bulb.
unplug it, and let it set for a minute or 2, then try it again...if it does it again hit the power button again to turn it back on...also once the the tv turns on make sure you reset the counter for the bulb..that will also cause problems...to reset the counter press the (-) volume on the tv while holding down the (-) press spilt,pip on the reomte...the lamp will reset and the indicator will go out
