No, it is on most all pages from the internet..even this one. I just purchased a 22 inch monitor. I can't find any adjustments for internet pages that works.

  • arscott Dec 17, 2008

I had to set the DPI settings to "Normal size (96 DPT) and that took care of the problem...however now I can barely read the print...If it overlaps I can't read it either so it is not the ideal thing, but what can you do...Thanks a bunch anyway. I may try to get a new card after Christmas and see what that does also...

From what you are describing it sounds like a video driver issue. Have you made changes to your video driver or video settings prior to this happening? Have you tried a different monitor to see if it is doing the same? Check for updated Display Drivers for your system.

You can control the font size on web pages by holding CTRL and press + or - on the keyboard or using the scroll wheel of your mouse. This is independent of the Font DPI settings.

Why is some of the printed text overlapping?

If the text on the screen is ok
It is usually du to a wrong driver installed.
uninstall your printer and reinstall it, and make sure you chose the EXACT model when you install the drivers

Print cartridge alignment failed.

Check the following steps :

Double-click the HP printer icon in the system tray at the lower right end of your desktop. Navigate to the "Toolbox" tab.

Click on the "Status" link on the left side of the window. Scroll through the "Status" menu and click on the "Print Info Pages" link.

Click the blue "Print" button located to the right of the "Configuration Page" heading. Check the print page to see if the "L" shaped bars are overlapping or bleed into each other.

Contact HP directly for a repair or replacement if the "L" bars do not have any overlap, as that will indicate an extensive mechanical problem that can't be fixed through troubleshooting.

Return to the "Toolbax" tab if the color bars are overlapping. Click on the model number of your HP color laser printer at the upper left end of the window. Click on the "Device Settings" link.

Choose the "Print Quality" option and then click on the "Calibrate" button on the right side of the window. Click "OK" in the new window that appears and wait for the alignment calibration process to finish.

Attempt to print a document again and see if the alignment is still off. If the alignment is not correct, repeat the calibrating, since the HP color laser printer may need to be calibrated more than once to fix the alignment.

There is no imaging drum in this printer there is only a transfer belt. It is the green film that is visible when you open the door. This sounds like there could be a problem with the dc controller take the printer to a local asp.

Dell AIO 942 printing problem

Hi Lei,

You may try to check on the printing settings. You may need to check also if it is defaulting to all. You may try printing it by pages. If the issue persist then there is something wrong with the settings. You may also try to uninstall and reinstall the printer software if the issue persist.

Keep me posted.

Thanks,

Jeff
