Setting how many times the phone rings before going to voicemail

I studied the manual but have not found the instructions on how to get the phone to ring more than 4 times before the phone goes to voicemail. I can never get to my phone in time and spend a lot of time checking voicemails, using minutes that I should not have to use. Please help !!!! Thanks, Wanda

SOURCE: Nokia 6120 Classic longer ringing time

Hi,

This is an operator supported feature. You need to punch in this code.

**61*destination*11*nn#[SEND]

destination is the number the calls get diverted to

nn = time in seconds (5/10/15/20/25/30)

This will work if you operator have not disabled this code.

SOURCE: Incoming calls go to voicemail after 2 rings,

This could be caused by an option in the settings of the phone where you can set the number of rings you have before it transfers to voice mail so if you were to go to settings I'm sure you could find the option if that doesnt work then it could be a service option you selected in which you have to call your network provider up for more information on how to switch this feature.

I also have Nokia 5800 XM. From my own experience, the time from the beginning of incoming call until voice mail is provider setting so we can't change it manually. I think you can just increase your ringing tones so you can notice every incoming call faster.

I need to extend the length of time my phone rings on incoming calls

Hello, Mary -

I checked the user manual for your Alcatel 3003G cell phone:
https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1150047/Alcatel-Tribe-3003g.html?page=1#manual

I did not find any information regarding increasing the length of time of rings of incoming calls in the manual. So, I thought the incoming rings length of time may be dependent upon your cell phone service provider, Vodafone.

I found some information on a Vodafone Support page:
https://support.vodafone.co.uk/
How to increase the time before a call goes to voicemail?
(Quote)
Your Vodafone mobile is set to ring for 15 seconds before going to voicemail. You can change how long it rings for, choosing from 5 to 30 seconds in 5-second intervals.

To choose your desired ringing time:
  • Enter **61*121*11* on your Vodafone mobile
  • Choose the number of seconds you'd like your phone to ring for, followed by #
  • Press Call
  • A confirmation message will pop up on your screen with your new ring time
For example, if you want to set your Vodafone mobile to ring for 25 seconds, you enter **61*121*11*25#, and press Call. When the message pops up, you'll know it's all done.

Watch this simple video to find out how to increase the time before a call goes to voicemail.

I have a KX-T7433 and would like to change the number of rings before it goes to voice mail. It is currently set at 4 rings and would like to change it to 6

The KX-T7433 isn't an answering machine. If the voicemails are going to an answering machine you have on the phone line, consult its manual. If the voicemails are going on to your telephone service provider's system, look for instructions in the phonebook, or contact the provider.

If you need a KX-T7433 manual, you may download a copy at Panasonic KX T7433 Phone User Manuals Guides

My phone rings 3 times and then goes to voicemail. Many times I cannot get there in time and I would like my phone to ring five times before going to voicemail,

Look at your call forwarding or divert settings, change the settings to cancel all diverts or to divert to voicemail only when the phone is off or not answered. Chances are that all calls are currently being diverted to VM

Why does my driod go right to voicemail

It could be that the phone is delayed in ringing. Try placing a test call and see how many times it rings in the phone you are calling from before it rings on the phone. Then you can determine if the phone is delayed in ringing. If you hear ringing and the phone rings once and then it goes to voicemail then there may be a setting on your phone that is causing this.

Ringer/ Voicemail Bounceback

Well, this one is kinda tricky. If the receptionist knows there's no one there, they can use VoiceMail Transfer.

From the phone, the user can set CF Busy or CF Busy/No Answer with the following codes on the intercom:

Do Not Disturb *7101 / Cancel *7100

Call Forwarding2.gif (FWD)

– Both Calls *710
– Outside Calls *711
– Intercom Calls *712

2 (All calls) + phone no. + #/
3 (Busy) + phone no. + #/
4 (No Answer) + phone no. + #/
5 (Busy/No Answer) + phone no. + #/
7 (Follow Me) + your extension no./
8 (Follow Me Cancel) + your extension no.

So, if your voice mail is 500, you would dial *7105500# to set CF B/NA for intercom and outside calls.

The last piece of the puzzle is the timing. That's *713 (00-99). Start with 24 (4 rings) and go from there. If it hits the receptionist before the forward takes place, you probably have to adjust the recall timer for call transfer, a system program.

Incoming calls ring 3 times at main extension, then phone stops ringing at main & rolls over to ring at all other phones. Phone rings once at those extensions before going to voicemail. (We have...

Your voicemail thinks that it is ringing six times. The time that it takes to transfer to the extensions counts. Whiloe it seems that there is a lapse the system actually is using enough time to ring six times total. If you need longer ring time at the extension, take in account the transfer time and set it to pick up after 8 or 9 rings. It will actually only ring six. You just have to trick the system a little.
