The armature and field will need to come out. It's quite a bit of work to swap everything over. Here is a parts diagram which should help.

SOURCE: I cannot get a perfect 45 degree angle with my

When using the gauge on your saw it is off on the 45 degree cut? If so you might have to use a tri Square every time you want to cut a 45. Sometimes the lock gauge for the 45 angle may be off some. When you put a tri square on the board you cut it is not a true 45 even though the saw says it is?

SOURCE: I have makita bss610 battery operated circular saw

The usual problem with these types of units is the battery goes bad and won't accept charge anymore, or the charger itself is defective due to a broken power cord. Obtain a DC voltmeter and check the output voltage of the charger where it connects to the battery. It should measure several volts higher than the rated voltage of the battery. If this checks good, measure the voltage at the battery terminals which should be somewhat higher than the rated voltage. Problems in the motor can be the switch itself, or it may have a defective brush. Connect the meter to the wiring with the battery plugged in (if it is charged) and check for voltage at the motor with switch turned on. Remove each brush and check for length, burning, collapsed spring, or other damage. Occasionally, a wire can break within the field winding due to vibration. Hope some of this helps!

Saw stopped working. changed brushes. still not working.just dead.blade turns ok.not even a click

These are notorious for burning out armatures.
The replacement process is pretty involved, I would not attempt unless you are comfortable.
Remove the brushes
Remove the 3 Screws hold the motor assy to the saw
Remove the screws holding the motor housing together.
Separate the housing and you should be able to see right away if the armature is burnt (many times the windings actually blow apart)

Often when the armature burns out it also melts the brush holder assy - I would recommend replacing it as well.
If the armature appears fine then I would lean toward the switch. Makita BSS611 18V LXT Lithium Ion 6 1 2 Circular Saw Parts

How to dismantle Motor housing for a makita cordless circular saw for diagnoses

The replacement part will cost about as much as a new saw. The housing and case is probably warped and deformed enough that it would nearly impossible to get the old one out and a new one in.. Get a new saw.

How to gear spindle from housing

The unit is retained by two or three screws surrounding a retaining ring on the saw blade side, and I believe there are some screws holding the gear housing on the motor side that need to be removed as well. I just replaced the bearing on mine a week ago, and even though the situation is obvious once you figure it out I was not smart enough to do so, and wasted an hour trying to figure out how to remove that retaining ring over the bearing. Good luck

Need to know where to get a replacment guard for my 5007MG circular saw

if you give me your general area I will try and find a local dealer for you, you can also look in the yellow pages under tool repair for an authorized dealer, but it is faster online to find one. Or if you want you can go to Makitausa.com and they have a locator. Let me know if you need more help before voting please and thank you.

Makita "7 1/4 inch" circular saw poblem. the saw seems to lose power soon into ripping boards. if you letit sit andcool, it will work again, but will quickly cease upagain. the saw blade seems to go...

Clean the armature and install new brushes, the armature is burned with carbon and loses its ability to conduct electricity properly. Make sure to in between every copper rib on the armature so it doesn't ground itself back out.
