Question about PC Desktops

1 Answer

We just purchased Games for Girls which has Fetch, Nancy Drew, Pet Vet and Let's Ride. All games work except for Fetch. When we try to run it, it gives us the white screen with all the dogs sitting, and it says 'loading' at the top. The yellow line under the word loading goes across, we hear a ring or ping sound like it's complete, but we can't get the game to actually start. Even CTRL ALT DEL doesn't do anything. Can anyone assist? Thanks, Paula

who makes the game - game maker should be on the cd case.
it's possibly a driver issue with that particular game. there may be a fix/patch on the makers website.

You can try uninstalling and reinstalling it other wise it may be the game itself or something wrong with it

It won't allow me to install my Nancy Drew Game?

You need to completely uninstall the software and try to reinstall. If the clean install does not work than most likely your system doesn't meet the necessary requirements or the software is not compatible with your system.

Im trying to reinstall a nancy drew game that i deleted and when I di it installs and says wrong path and wont play for me

best suggestion is to uninstall the game from Add-Remove Programs (in Control Panel) reboot your computer and reinstall. When you re-install one of the windows should tell you where it is being put (directory structure)... write it down and that will be your path. If all goes well then your game will work. If not then right click the icon to run the program and check the path to make sure it cooresponds to the one you took down during the installation. Make any changes necessary.

Oh and remember to delete all the shortcuts on your desktop and in the START->Programs area of your menu (after you do the uninstall) so that the fresh install puts new correct ones in there.

I get the following error message trying to load Nancy Drew Danger on Deception Island... Incorrect path to ini file

You create a new folder, name it something like "deception" and save it. Then insert the disk and begin install, when it asks you where you'd like to install it, click browse, and install it in the folder you created previously. It won't work if you just install it in the recomended folder...

Slow mouse

Most games have an option to change the mouse sensitivity in the control options.

Oftentimes newer optical mice have a lower resolution that causes them to move very slowly in games.
