Question about RCA RP3755 Clock Radio

Open Question

CD won't play

Please help me if possible. I have an RCA RP 3755 Clock Radio which will no longer play a CD at all. It makes a noise like it is spinning but the CD just sits there and does nothing. I have not used it for some time. I mostly use the radio alarm. The only thing that I have tried so far is to spray some compressed air to where the CD would go to clean out any dust. Any suggestions?

SOURCE: setting the alarm on my clock radio

use the selector switch on the top, switch it to wake 1 or wake 2. set the time that you want that alarm to go off. then push the switch all the way back to the left to deactivate it. then to activate the alarm, use the buttons on top labeled wake 1 or wake 2 to turn the desired alarm on. pushing that button repeatedly will cycle the alarm to either beep, radio, or it will turn that alarm off.

Closest available RCA CD-CLOCK RADIO USER MANUAL online is for Model #RP5610 at this location:
It is almost exactly the same model as the #3700 series.

If unable to link to that webpage, go to RCA Tech Support page at: and click on download manual.

SOURCE: i need a manual on how to set the time and alarms

To set the time, press Set (furthest left button in the line including the Snooze) repeatedly until the clock icon shows on the display. Then press the FWD or REV buttons (on either side of the Snooze button) until you reach the current time. Press and hold to advance the time more rapidly. Press Set to save the time.

To set the alarm, press Set until Wake 1 or Wake 2 is shown on the display. Then follow the same directions as changing the time. Press WK1 or WK2 on the front of the clock to select the type of alarm.

The manual for the RCA RP5600 is available on the product page: . See the Support/Manuals tab. The direct link to the manual is .

I hope this helps.

RCA RP 3755 Clock radio: CD player will not spin

Check the voltage at the terminals of the sled motor. If it is found OK, replace the sled motor. Sled motor do spins the disc inside for any CD players. See the picture of its position.3_1_2012_3_05_08_pm.jpg

When cd door closes there is loud clicking noise and does not play cd

Replacing motor rubber band will fix this problem. Remove 5 external screws to have access inside the unit. TIP: You do not need to remove the front CD door. Good luck.

RCA 3755 won't recognize/play the CD

It could be the laser reader has dropped, causing it to 'lose' the inserted disk. You may need to consult the manufacturer if your warranty is valid, or a local electrical retailer.

RCA RP5640 CD player failure

I too have recently found out that the cd portion of this radio was making strange noises. When i would press the open/close button, it would not open. I read your article and you mentioned you could not find the company mentioned. I did a reverse search on the address and came up with 5 different companies at the same address, neither of them being called "Vernurer Electronics" but other audio services. If you go to "" and click on the tab " reverse search" enter the address and you will see what i mean. I haven't found a solution to the cd door not opening but i'm still searching.
