Does the messages affect the operation of the computer? is there internet hooked up to that computer? if so have you been doing all the updates that are available for the computer this includes the optional updates? the other thing you can try is contact windows tech support and they can help you out also. i found a solution for windows host process you can go to this web site:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/953916/en-us?sd=gn
copy and paste it at the top of your screen. and so far there is on cure for the hp advisor not working. i checked all over the windows website and they have got a cure yet. hope this helps you, let me know.

it could just be problems they are having with vista. i know that I still get messages about stuff not working right and always wanting to shut down. my toshiba flash card doesnt want to work and my hp process host stops working all the time. I think that Windows is working on these problems and hopefully the cure will come out with the next service pack that they release. sorry im not able to help you any further.

would you please be willing to change the rating for me since there is no cure for the problem. i feel that i was able to help you as much as possible.

    thanks and happy holidays

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

No audio device installed.

It's unlikly that HP will relesae he needed Vista drivers for your sound device.
That has been a problem with Vista since day 1.
If you want your sound back, you should go back to XP.
Windows Vista use a new software architecture, and hardware devices must comply with it, in order to be used by the new OS.
Sorry

if nothing(even hp logo ) is not coming on the display then please try this.
1.remove the battery and then press the power button for 30 sec.Again refix it and check.
2.If windows sound is there then this mught be the issue with display.

3.If there is no windows sound might be the issue with RAM so please get it checked.

try to download belarc advisor software. Run this in your vista OS and send it to me so I can check your hardware specs. This is the only way to avoid problems in the future or before you start the formatting.

I have got Windows Vista Home premium removed, and installed Windows XP professional. Since then, my microphone has stopped working, eventhough integrated webcam is working fine. While I try to listen...

If your microphone has stopped working check to see if it is plugged in. If the drivers are installed correctly, and confirm that the diaphragm in the microphone has not blown.
