Can not download pictures frm camera to pc through finepic A610

Every time I go to down load my pictures from the camera to my pc, the finepx will ask em again to down load the pictures which I do and then it will load my pictures into Finepic program but I can not retreave the pictures. It will ask me to load my photo's first. I have done all that but it keeps saying the same thing. How do I get to retrive my pictures in this program. thank you in advance

I have three camera. One is a Fuji and I love it. I find using a card reader is much better than downloading from the camera. If you know someone who has one ask to borrow it. See if it solves the problem.
Hope this helps

I do not have a card reader .. what do I need to have to transfer pictures from A finePics A345 to PC?

Go to Walmart or your favorite store and buy a card reader. They don't cost much and simplify the downloading process. typrice_246.jpg

Hi, I have a Cannon Powershot A610 and when I take a picture the picture comes out too dark. How can I adjust the it? thanks

"Too dark" or do you really mean "totally black"? I'm asking because a stuck shutter is a very common failure mode for your particular model camera.
The symptoms of a stuck or "sticky" shutter are very similar to CCD image sensor failure. The camera may take black pictures (for shutter stuck closed), or the pictures may be very bright and overexposed, sometimes with lines, especially when taken outdoors (for shutter stuck open). To confirm a stuck shutter, put the camera in any mode other than "Auto", and turn the flash OFF (you don't want to blind yourself for the next step). Next look down the lens and take a picture. You should see a tiny flicker in the center of the lens as the shutter opens and closes. If no movement is seen, then you likely have a stuck shutter. If so, please see this link for further info and a simple fix that may help.

Bought new computer which is Windows 7 and the digital camera driver disk will not load. How can I correct this?

Canon does not list a Windows 7 driver for this camera.

Consider NOT connecting the camera to the computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

I do not have the cd that comes with the camera

Unfortunately, Canon does not offer these discs for download on their site. You would likely need to purchase used from eBay (not recommended). But please take this as an opportunity to try an alternative (and what many believe a better way) to download your photos.
Highly recommend that you consider using a USB card reader to download your pictures. You insert the camera's SD card into the reader, and then insert the reader into a USB port on your computer. The card then shows up as a hard drive so that you can simply copy/paste or drag your picture files onto your computer. Card readers are much more faster in downloading pics, do not require the use of your camera's batteries, and provide much more reliable downloading of the pictures (fewer errors). They're also VERY inexpensive these days, and widely available. Here are some examples from China (with free worldwide shipping). But there are many others available on the net if you look.

Blank screen on Canon A610 Power Shot. Can't view pictures taken or from memory card.

Are the downloaded pictures also black when viewed on your computer? If so, a stuck shutter is another common failure mode for digital cameras. The symptoms of a stuck or "sticky" shutter are very similar to CCD image sensor failure. The camera may take black pictures (for shutter stuck closed), or the pictures may be very bright and overexposed, especially when taken outdoors (for shutter stuck open).
