Yes, you will need to download a program like the free gzip, winrar or winzip to open this file, once the program has been installed you can ignore the above ionstructions as windows will do this for you automatically

Tip

Boost your computer performance

<p><span> <p>Your computer's performance mainly depends on the "Processor" and "RAM" availability. I am sure that whatever computer you have is capable enough to run your normal daily tasks smoothly. It should not stuck or freeze while checking emails, writing documents, watching movies or songs, printing or doing business online. These are some very basic tasks and require minimum resources to execute. Any computer with a normal system configuration should work them out easily, but we still face sluggish performance or freezing up while doing these tasks.<br /> <p> The reason behind this is the processor and memory status of your computer at that time. You can check the real time status from "Task manager" which you can pull up by pressing "Ctrl + Shift + Esc" key on keyboard. Following steps would optimize the processor and memory uses of your computer and make it more efficient:<br /> <p><br /> <p>&middot; Check running processes at background:<br /> <p>Every application we use has several processes running in background to make it work. Sometimes we are not even aware of the extra unwanted software or applications which start automatically and keep running in background and eat up our processor and memory usage. This you can check by Task manager's "processes" list. Also some of these applications show their notification icons in "system tray" area which is where you see the system time on your desktop. Try to keep minimum application running in background and this will make our system smooth as it will have more resources to utilize.<br /> <p>Follow the below steps to disable unwanted applications:<br /> <p>1. Click on "start", click on "run" or press "Flag key + R" from keyboard. Type" msconfig" on the "run" window and hit "enter".<br /> <p>2. This should bring "system configuration utility" windows on screen.<br /> <p>3. Click on the "startup" TAB on the top menu. This tab holds all applications which start automatically when you turn on your computer.<br /> <p>4. Check the list carefully and uncheck the ones you don't need.<br /> <p>5. If you are not sure about some application, type its name in google search, figure out its use and decide to whether you want to keep it running or disable it.<br /> <p>6. Once you are done with the List, click on "Services "tab on top.<br /> <p>7. This "services" tab holds all important programs which give a platform for other software to work.<br /> <p>8. Check the box in bottom which says "Hide all Microsoft services".<br /> <p>9. Now you have the list of non-Microsoft programs running in background. Some of these might be you antivirus software, backup software or messengers and others may be unwanted ones.<br /> <p>10. Identify the not required items and uncheck them.<br /> <p>11. Click on "Apply" and then "OK".'<br /> <p>12. It might give you a windows asking for "restart computer" or "Exit without restart ".<br /> <p>13. Choose "Exit without restart"<br /> <p>14. Close all other windows make sure none of you important files are open and then restart your computer.<br /> <p>15. If later you want to enable any services back, just follow the same process and "Check" them in the list.<br /> <p> <br /> <p>&middot; Keep track of free disk space on root drive:<br /> <p>Free space on root drive (mostly c :\) is very important as this space is used for virtual memory or paging, hibernation and other system requirements. Ensure that at least 3 - 5 GB space should be available on root drive. If you have less than this, delete some temporary or junk files from "temp" and "%temp%" folders.<br /></span><br />

What type of attachment it is? Is it JPEG(image), or Word File or , Excel File? To open the file type you should select the proper application. You can try the following thing while opening your e-mail attachment. right click on the Attachment which you have download and select Open With. It'll show you the list of application through which you can view your attachment. In your case i thing Window Media player is selected by default that why when ever you try to open it keeps on opening in Media Player.
First try to know what type of mail attachment you are getting, If you have Word file then select Open with "Microsoft word", If any image then Select "windows picture and fax viewer".
If it is a .PDF file type then you should open it with Adobe Reader(IF you don't have Adobe reader then You need to download it from net to few it.
Similarly if it is ZIP. file then you must have Win ZIP software to open it.

I hope you understand what i mean to say and Hope it'll work for you. :))

HOW TO UPGRADE INTEL 945GCLF MOTHER BOARD BIOS. BIOS VERSION IS "LF94510J.64T.0000.2009.0123.1105" & BIOS SOFTWARE VERSION IS AVAILABLE ON SITE IS " LF94510J.86A.0038.EB " WHEN I...

It seem your current version "LF94510J.64T.0000.2009.0123.1105" doesnt have any BIOS ID's which is required to upgrading. Where '0000' should have any version number.
I recommend using DOS environment when upgrading BIOS, this is the safe way flashing BIOS..so download file LF94510J.86A.0278.BI.ZIP here.
Extract all files on USB flash disk which is bootable flash disk. Run files executable on the command prompt and follow the instructions..

What video driver do you use in Acer Aspire SA80 with SiS FX/GX Mirage Graphics

The SiS driver that Acer offers for the Aspire SA80,

http://support.acer.com/drivers_download.aspx

On this page under,

A) Select Product Family
Left-click on Desktop

B) Select Product Line
Left-click on Aspire

C) Select Product Model
Scroll the side bar down, Left-click on Aspire SA80

There are Three VGA drivers listed. You won't see the 3rd one, SiS, until you scroll the side bar down.

VGA SIS VGA Driver 6.14.10.3680
14.6MB 2008/12/10

Left-click on the orange square to the left of this driver file name.
(Has a white down arrow pointing to a line)

A small window will come up.
Opening VGA_SIS_6.14.10.3680_Xpx86.zip

Left-click on the empty circle to the left of - Save File
(If it does not already have a green dot in it)

Now go below, and click on OK.

I suggest you save the file, instead of opening it directly. It is a Zip file, and you may not have an Unzip program on your computer, to 'Unzip' it.

(Zip file is a condensed file. Used to send large files over the internet. You have to un-condense the file, or Unzip it)

If you do not have an unzip program I suggest download 7-Zip. It's free.

Go to the place the Zip file downloaded to.
Either My Documents, or on your desktop screen.
(Start>My Documents. Could also be in a sub-folder of My Documents>Downloads)

Double-click on the file name. (Be sure you have an Unzip program installed before you do)

Follow the simple instructions of the unzip program.
