Question about HP iPAQ hx2190 Pocket PC
Initial problem was touch screen went out of alignment. I conducted several soft reboots with out success. Conducted a hard reboot and was able to gain access to the programs and the unit functioned correctly for about 3 weeks. The touch screen again failed function. I again conducted a hard reset. This time the touch screen will not function at all. The screen has the windows mobile logo come up with "tap the screen to set up your windows Mobile-base device" however with the screen not functioning I can not proceed.

I experienced the same problem with my rx3115 after having it for 3 days. It is working again, fortunately. I removed the battery from the device and left it alone for 24 hours. I then reinstalled the battery and connected the charger. When it powered up, it went through the initialization process in the same way that it did when I first used it. I hope this helps you out with your iPAQ.

Sometimes 3rd party apps that don't work so well with the palms can freeze them up.
You could do a hard reset and when you initially sync the palm, when it asks you for a profile choose a new one and see if this method removes your problem.

Does the calibrator keep looping or not seem to work?
If you can access the calibrator, but it loops through the target sequence (repeatedly asking you to tap the targets), there may be a physical problem that's causing your touchscreen to be confused:

Hi. I had this problem with my iPaq and there is a soloution. Unfortunatley. it is impossible to repair whilt you are running vista. HP insists that you run Windows XP or Erlier, with Active Sync installed. We can however give this repair a try. I would need to know first of all what country you are in, and which version of the 6515 you have. i.e a, b, c etc....
email me email@example.com with the details and i'll email you back with the soloution.
