TV turns off after being on for just

I recently replaced the lamp on my PT-43LC14 and thanks to reading posts from others on this site, I was able to reset the timer. However, now I am faced with another problem. The TV automatically shuts off after being on for only about 3-4 minutes. Any thoughts?

I have the same problem and I believe the new problem is the cooling fan is not working properly and the unit is shutting down to protect itself from the heat.

Panasonic PT-43LC14; I changed the lamp. I still get the lamp meter warning on the screen when I turn on the TV. How do I reset the lamp meter?

terayamam001,

Here is the procedure,

1. Turn on the television
2. Press the volume down button on the TV display (not the remote)
3. While pressing the volume button, press the "split" or " PIP" button on the remote.

This should solve your problem.

Thanks for using FixYa and for the great rating!!

2. While holding down the (VOL -) key on the projection unit press the PIP or SPLIT key at the same time. Hold it for longer than 5 Seconds. The PIP or SPLIT key is model specific:
