MITE HELP look. apart from usuing ur warranty to get a new mp3-jukebox from phillip i would say their service totally suck! go on the help section of the site: and scrooll down where you see device/firmware manager. this is for plp who didnt get the softwar e cd or lost it. your bateery must be fully charge b4 u try to repair the device. i dont if it will work in all cases but in mine it didnt. lol my hdd1630/17 starts up u see phillips then go gear and if not connect to a pc u see connect to pc... it stays tthere for like 2min and then it restarts and do the same process over until the battey dies! when connected to a pc however the computer recignises it as a harddrive and i can acces the disk. nothing is in the disk and i cant put any thing there. when trying to format and other methods. the programs never recognize the disk. phillips is new to this and their sevrive is crap! you should have bought a Nano its better and it costs around the same price as the 6gb go gear. hope this info mite help!!!!

How to make ur own mp3 player........i hav all the materials to build a mp3 shuffle but i dont now how to fix it any ideas ??? plz help :)

if you have the warranty, dont take it apart. just go get a new one, if not, then i wouldnt tamper with trying to fix it. It might make a fixable problem an unfixable one. take it to an apple store and have them look at it.

Phillips go gear 4g file system fail

There are only a few things you can try:
1) Reset the player (won't resolve)
2) Run a Repair in the Philips Device Manager
3) Run an Update in the Philips Device Manager

Download the newst version of the Philips Device Manager: - change your country/language as needed
Enter in your exact model #
Click on the link for your exact model #
Click on the Software & Drivers section
Click on "Firmware Upgrade Software"
Install the new Device Manager
Open and run the "Repair" tab

If these methods fail to resolve the problem, call Philips and see if you are eligible for an in-warranty replacement.

Musicmatch Jukebox shows just PSS instead of PSS110.

This is the LEAST of your problems - the official MusicMatch service was cancelled in October 2007, so you are only going to get limited functionality out of this player in the first palce. If the jukebox is working, don't mess with it. If it is not working:
Download the newest version of the Philips Device Manager: - change your country/language as needed
Enter in your exact model #
Click on the link for your exact model #
Click on the Software & Drivers section
Click on "Firmware Upgrade Software"
Install the new Device Manager
Open and run the "Repair" tab

All u have to have is yahoo jukebox, thats the easiest way i think.
Then just plug ur mp3 player into ur computer and it should pop up when u click the actions button on yahoo jukebox, then just drag the songs into the list and then hit "copy to portable device" and ur mp3 player should be listed there and then u can get the songs onto your player.

I need the installation software for my refurbished phillips gogear 6g micro jukebox mp3 player

Sounds like an HDD1620 or HDD1630.

Either way, go to

Enter your country and language, then search for your particular model.

You can download the entire product CD from the Software & Drivers section.

How do I charge the philips mp3 player?

Connect the supplied AC/DC adapter/charger to the 5V DC jack on your hdd and the power supply. The AC power icon will indicate on display showing that the Jukebox is now adapter operated. It takes 4 hours to fully recharge the hdd and once the battery is recharged fully, the jukebox can play up to 10 hours of music on the move

Deleting Songs

You can delete them from yahoo music jukebox, you click on the rca 100 in the left menu bar and when the songs come up right click on the songs you don't want and it will say play, delete, etc. click on delete and it will delete it from your player.

PSA250/17 doesn't show the songs that I have put on it!

I was having the same problem with my PSA250/05 but found out how to resolve it.

As the PSA250 converts the files into it's own naming algorithms simple dragging and dropping mp3's work work as the device doesn't recognise them.

Inside musicmatch Jukebox you will find a portable device options section. In here under one of the options you'll see the mp3 device which is in a drop down box. If you click this box you'll see that you have another option for Nike + Phillips, select this option and now add your tracks.... All should be fine.
