Question about Sharp 27H-S60 TV

1 Answer

Sound problems The picture on this tv is great BUT when programming comes through, the sound is only a buzzing noise (which gets louder as you increase volume) and there is no programming sound (people talking, etc...). Is this a cheap fix for this 10 year old tv or should we simply run the programming through a receiver and speakers? Our programming comes through DirecTV. Thanks a bunch!!!

Are "powered speakers" different from speakers I would hook up to a stereo receiver? I have a set of JBL speakers model j2050. I also have some ALTEC LANSING speakers I'm running with my computer... perhaps those are powered speakers?

Make sure it is not a problem with the DTV reciever first by connecting up another smaller TV set to that reciver. if it is the TV set for sure, a cheap fix would be to run the audio outputs of the DTV reciever to a small stereo or a powered speaker. Good Luck

Powered speakers are speakers that you plug in to get power to them and have a volume control on them, they have a built in amplifier. Please do not forget to rate this thread. :>)

When I play a CD I get a buzzing sound. The sound starts as soon as I hit the play button (and before the CD is actually moving.) It gets louder once the CD starts playing. The sound is coming through...

Buzzing is usally AC line noise leaking into an un-shielded cable somewhere or a floating ground. If the AC plug is reversible, try that. Sometimes the buzz is from an attached device. Make sure all audio cables are plugged in tightly at each end and routed away from or at right angles to any power cords and away from other sources of strong magnetic fields like TV's. I've also seen variable track lights induce noise but it's usually minor.

Tt might be the problem with he color circuit board, bring it to the repair shop for repair, or if you can do it do re-soldering to any visual crack at the soldered lead terminal of the components on the circuit board and then try put on to check if the problem goes away?

19 in blue screen only sound works great

blue screen is the noise mute screen. however the audio is not getting muted and hence the buzzing....meaning the tuner on the TV is not getting locked on to the station/frequency

1. check your antenna if you are using one. Autotune
OR
2. Reconnect coax from the cable box to Tv and autotune.
OR
3.Use the Video out from the cable box and connect it to one of the video inputs on the TV. Switch your Tv to that component. Use the cable box to change channels (Best case scenerio)

PS32500 32" TV Problem

The sound that you hear is coming from the sound detector not working or not receiving any audio. If the set is set to a second audio (SAP) program this could be you trouble. Some programs are broadcast this way. (such as Spanish for Spanish speaking people. Check you audio program settings.

Buzzing after 1 hour

Is the buzzing coming from the back of the TV, staying loud even when the volume is turned all the way down, or is it coming from the speakers?

Buzzing coming from speakers

The "IF coil" is used for all channels, so if channel 5 is clear but 25 is not, the problem is not in the IF. If your IF coil was loose or bad, all channels would drift off and you would have no picture or sound. If you have the TV set to "SAP", some channels would have no sound at all, so I doubt that your settings are wrong. I suspect that the problem is with your cable signal, not your TV.

SanyoDS25390 Tv good picture buzzing noise

What are you using as a source? If its a cable/satallite box, double check that first. If its a video input or a scart input, swap out the cables. If it still there you could have an input problem or a filter capacitor going bad. Does the hum get louder with sound? If it does it is an input source and or cables. Good luck Ps please dont forget to rate this thread.
