If you have a tom tom from the GO models
they hace a reset button you can press with a pin were the mount fits.
When you plug in the charger the green light should come on to say it is chargeing.
Try the car adapter to charge the tom tom
I recommend you to replace the battery . The battery could be dead [ can't be recharged anymore ] even if it shows that it's recharging .
If replacing the battery didn't solve the problem , then i would recommend you to replace the your device with new one , since you still have the guarantee .
Try first to update the software of your GPS . If that didn't solve the problem and since the button doesn't work I advice you to take it to the service for repairing .
Unfortunatly this is a well known problen with the tt one car charger. When the car charger went bad it sent more than 5 volts to your tt and burned a couple of diodes on the board. Even though the green light comes on this is just an indication that power is available not that it is charging. Sorry to say but all you have now is a paper weight. Try selling it on ebay. People will buy it for spare parts.
you should learn some elecricity and change some parts that broken, or buy new one, because it is out of waranty, or you can apply the problem to the ebay seller, start to think!!!
I got the TomTom for my husband and it warked fine for 2 days and now it will not turn on at all. It was feo our 40thAnniversay. Now it will not work. Please help me. They would not take it back at Wal-mart because of the time limit.
