Question about Minolta Printers & Copiers

What does the wrench symbol with the C8 after it mean?

I have followed the direction in the manual to turn OFF the power ON/OFF Switch and unplug unit. Then plug uniy back in and turn ON the power ON/OFF switch. Unit does respond sometimes and when I copy an item it comes out very light even with the slide control all the way over towards the dark setting

C8 is unusually high fuser temp. most likely cause a dirty or damaged thermistor in the fuser. The Fuser fuses the toner to the paper if it is operating out of range it could cause quality issues. but they could be two unrelated problems.

But Check your toner supply and press the toner button on the control panel acouple of times if it has one. you were not specific with the model

irst try switching off and on the printer to reset the error.
If still there the error check the following;
Check CN983, it may be disconnected on the IH inverter.
Defective IH inverter - replace IH inverter.
Defective IH coil unit - replace IH coil unit.
It is a bit complicated to repair these parts.
Better to contact an engineer.
Goodluck and please rate me, thanks.
