Question about Mitsubishi VS-60803 60" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

Mitsubishi vs-60803 for the last couple of days my t.v. seems to have a little problem on th left hand side of the screen I get a red and a green line and 3/4 of the screen looks good I already tried to align my colors but that didn't work and when you hit factory reset on the menu it aligns the t.v. fine but when the picture goes back to normal it still shows the problem. Thanks Frank

Re: mitsubishi vs-60803

You have the typical convergence IC falure that every projection TV encounters at least once in its lifespan. The convergence ICs will both need to be repalce as it will only get worse. if you have no solid state repair experience, play it safe and call in a pro to assist you in this repair. Good Luck

This is a convergence problem and not really a DIY Many amateurs try it to save money but end up spending more on it than a professional. There are dozens on here that managed to fix it for a day or two only to have it fail again.

cost of fix about $300.

Mitsubishi tv model wd 73727 and how to take tv apart to clean marrow

my mitsubishi 73" set is 4+ years old. all of a sudden the color is all wrong. after a couple of minutes of clear picture the colors change--blue is green and red is yellow. a little while later everything has a red tint to it and there is a line going down the center of the screen. to the left the picture is still relatively sharp, but the right hand side is terrible. I'm hoping this is just the lamp.

Mitsubishi VS-4541 too much red

The set is old and the picture tubes are probably weak. you can pop off the front grill, remove the protective panel to expose the picture tube sockets. On the sockets are controls to increase or decrease the intensity of the colors. The red is on the left ,green center and blue right. Go to a B&W picture or turn the color off, then adjust for the best grey screen.
