Question about Siemens Gigaset 8825 Cordless Phone
I have a Siemans Gigaset 8825. It was working just fine, but now, all of the sudden, when it answers, it says, “Enter mailbox 124” then it repeats that message, then it finally gives the message we have recoded (the part we actually want it to do). The problem is no caller knows what enter mailbox 124 means, and they just hang up. There are no multiple mailboxes – just the one. How do I get it back to just simply giving my personal recoded message?
Try checking to see if Auto Attendent has been activated at the base. Auto Attendant acts as a virtual (though confusing!) operator if you have multiple mailboxes activated. When it's off, Mailbox 1 should be the default and just play your recorded greeting only.
P.S. I had a similar problem and figured out it was actually saying mailbox Enter Mailbox 1 to 4. ;) Hope this Helps!!
