Well you may be able to you should at least be able to get a repair. Electronic equipment, even outside its standard warranty is expected to last a reasonable time (as defined by law) this is commonly interperated as 6 years from the date of purchase. You can goto the store you have purchased it from and tehy will be able to track your receipt for you. Alternatively a bank or card statement will suffice
