Question about Sunpak (SDPF-070AW-0US) Digital Picture Frame

Virus on photo frame

My flash drive managed to transfer a Trojan virus to my Sunpack 7'' digital photo frame, and it has spread to another flash drive. Is there a way to get the virus off the frame? No need to worry about photos on it there aren't any.

Your photo frame is just like a usb drive, it just has hardware that runs files off it. So sure it can hold a virus that self-propegates like any virus. Your photo frame may allow hookup to your pc with a USB cord, and then you can try a virus scan to clean it. However there is a risk that you can propegate the virus over to your clean pc and your antivirus may not be able to remove it.

I suggest you plug it in on your computer and use the existing anti virus program on your computer to clean it.

How do you add pictures to the photo fram:

Use PhotoFiltre free photo editor program to edit your pictures.
You may download it from the below link.

http://www.4shared.com/file/gqHN4jSz/pf-setup-en.html

1. Photos should be in .jpeg format.
2. It is better to scale your photos with the above editor to 800x600 pix.
3. Prepare your pictures in a PC using PhotoFiltre. Scale all the pictures.
4. Transfer your pictures from PC to a USB Flash Disk (Memory Bar)
5. Plug USB Flash Disk to your Photo Frame.
6. Probably your photo frame will ask to transfer your pictures from flash disk to internal memory. Accept this and by pressing enter/OK/Set (Any button that changes from one product to another.)

I think it helps.

If you are not able to find your connecting cable. and i am assuming your need is to transfer the data to comp. Well what you can do is you can take out the memory card and fix it into the card reader (you will get a card reader vey cheap anywhere.). and connect it to your comp. Now your card will work as a flash drive and you can transfer data easily then... Hope this helps you out.. :)
