Both of you need to go to Philips web site - enter in your exact model number, and update the firmware for your player to resolve the freezing issue.

I downloaded a couple of songs from limewire and now i want to put them on my mp3 but i dont know how to

Just connect the MP3 player to your PC. Then drag & drop the song into the MP3 player. Unless the player comes with some special software.

Phillips mp3 player froze up on the gogear screen.

Triple Reset for Philips’ GoGear:

Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab. Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions.

After repair is complete, upgrade the firmware for this player. Will erase all the songs, but you should be good to go again.

Down loas music

This is an "Mp3-CD player," which is not the same as an "Mp3 player." This device will only play mp3 songs that are recorded onto a CD in audio format. It will not take songs from iTunes, etc. By the way, iTunes songs are AAC format, rather than Mp3 format, so you can't just burn iTunes songs onto a CD and expect it to work with this player either. Sorry.

Make sure the hold/lock is not engaged. If not:

My philips mp3 player will not turn all the way on

You all have slightly different issues, most of which can be solved with a firmware upgrade. In basic outline:
Triple Reset for Philips’ GoGear:

Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. After repair is complete, upgrade the firmware for this player. Will erase all the songs, but you should be good to go again.

Mp3 saying can not create file

ok I figured it out. When u drag the songs or files to the mp3 player initially, they all go into the folder ROOT. What you need to do is delete a song or two and create a new folder. To do this, connect mp3 player to the computer, open the e:/ so that you can see the songs or files that you have put on there. Then click 0n file, go down to new and then click on folder. This will show a new one on the info of mp3 player. Then drag anything you have on the player to the new file. You can then add more songs, ect. Just keep transferring them to the new folder as you download. It fixed my problem because at first it would not let me have more than about 100 songs, now I have about 450. Hope this helps!!!

Sony walk man mp3

try these methods
**Drag and Drop**
Connect your MP3 player to the computer. Some MP3 players connect directly to a USB port, while others connect to a USB port by way of a specific USB connector that comes with the MP3 player. Open the folder on the computer that contains the music files you want to transfer. This is usually the "My Music" folder, available from the "Start" menu, but it can be any folder where you save your music files. Scroll down to the song you want to transfer to the MP3 player. Right-click on the title. When the options are displayed, click on "Send To." Scroll down the "Send To" options and select your MP3 player. This can be listed as your MP3 player's name or as "Removable Drive." Click on this selection. Continue this process until you have transferred all songs that you want to your MP3 player.
--**Windows Media Player**--
If you have a large playlist to transfer, you may prefer to do it from your media player, such as Windows Media Player. Once your MP3 player is connected to the computer, open Windows Media Player. Click on the "Sync Music" tab. Drag songs that you want from your Windows Media Library over to the "Sync Music" column to create a playlist. Click the "Begin Sync" tab at the bottom once you have all of the songs on your playlist. This action will sync all of the songs to your MP3 player with one click. Disconnect your device once songs have been transferred by clicking on the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the bottom-right side of the desktop tray.
