Question about Dyna-Glo RMC-8001SS Heater
Turn the wick control knob all the way up before installing new wick. Put it all back together and make sure wick goes all the way down inside the groove when you push the shutoff lever. Do this several times. If not, then heater WILL NOT shut off !! P.S..use clear K-1 kerosene....the K-1 with red color seems to make bad carbon deposits on the wick...in a short time the wick becomes crusted and will not drop down to extinguish the flame. I had to open it up and put baking soda on the wick to put it out.
