Wait Black Screen? AFTER you changed the fan... hmmm... I think I know what the problem is. Okay solution one; You might of hit a wire or cord in the computer when you changed out the fan. Two: You might have the virus 223, get it fixed and it should be going again! Hoped this helped! :D
ur unit is overheating turn off and unplug and let cool down, clean vents around fan intake (under unit) and around top each side of keyboard when cool enough plug back in and listen for fan operation while booting up if no fan it may be stuck or burnt up and may need replacement but ur biggest problem will be the hard drive if it was overheated for to long could or is damaged good luck hope ur lucky and that it just got hot
if the fan is not running continuously then its the fan ans board problem.because the board is getting hot and fan is not running so the board is getting overheated and the machine is nor working.and if the power light is ON and fan is running but only the screen is black/blank then its the problem of inverterboard.the cost of new board is $25 get it replaced fromn near by laptop repair center.
Remove the memory from your unit - power it up it should beep if full communication is still happening across your m/board. No beeps you board has died. if it beeps and your using two diffent memory modules just fitt one leave the battery out and power it up = if no display pull power swap out the memory and try again. if display occurrs you have a defective memory module - throw that failed unit away
