Question about Hoover F7425-900 SteamVac V2 Widepath Upright Vacuum
When you turn the power on the pump in the lower handle unit buzzes and nothing else happens. The motor does not come on and the brushes don't turn either. Ideas?
Yes you have a bad motor and possibly bad turbine. I have never done this but have read success stories with opening the turbine and spray it with WD40 and spin it to get it going as it gets rusted and jams. I prefer to replace it rather than a quick fix. The motor must be replaced as well and will cost you probably 100 between the both of them, give or take 20 bucks. You will also need the seal for the motor. You can get all these parts through sears. The link is below. I also gave you the reference numbers for sears so you can just click which ones you want rather than search the schematic.
Turbine 91001097 #23 not #23a
Motor 27212077 #17
Seal 38781074 #21
