Its the problem of gear assembly that has to be replaced or the the printer has to be cleaned to make it proper.this is very common in the pixma model printers.

Previously when you had tried to printing any paper the printer has adopted paper jammed error but at this time you have not turned off the system. The printer has configured paper jammed whenever you are trying to print.
It represents that it want to restart the system.
Unplug the printer and reconnect to your system.

My printer says their is paper jammed and will not print anything but their is nothing there. ?

Hi,

To fix this kind of error, remove the ink cartridge and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it.Check if anything comes out.If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of card stock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there. Open up the printer and clean the insides with a soft cloth and a brush. That should remove all the bits of paper inside. The teeth on the roller sides may have some dirt stuck on them which does not allow the rollers to roll freely and hence is as bad as paper jam. The idea is that the rollers do not roll whether because of paper or some dirt on the roller teeth. They have to be cleaned.

Thank you !!

Canon Pixma MP450 - I am getting error code 5100 and printer will not print. How do I fix this?

Hi You can Try 2 things.

ERROR 5100 means that there is some foreign object blocking your cartridges carriage that disables it from moving. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there

Next try.

It may be a piece of paper or a scotch tape or a staple wire.
Solution 1:
Clean the timing strip.

Solution 2:
The purge cap (the white sliding mechanism that the print head parks to when it's not in use) may be not lubricated well enough .

Lubricate the sliders with some white grease (don't get it on the small wipers or the black caps); this repair probably require to remove the right panel off of the printer to gain access to the purge mechanism.

Paper jam error - won't print

Hello there
You may not see a paper jam.

This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Persistent paper jam error

How old is your model? This could be dirty rollers. See how I fixed that problem on this site: http://annoyances-resolved.blogspot.com/2009/09/paper-jam-buy-new-laser-printer.html
Let me know if this helped. OK?

Pixma mp450 all in one. The printer has no error

The problem described sounds like clogged nozzles. This also happens if you are using refilled cartridges and usually clears up if you use OEM cartridges. Try new OEM cartridges.
Let me know if this corrects the problem or if we have to explore other solutions. Thanks.

Says paper jam but there is none. pixma mp450

Take any paper out of the paper feeder and get a plastic ruler the softer the better lift the top of the printer up so you can see where the print cartridges are now push the ruler down through the paper feed roller be careful because you could break the rollers go from left to right right to left twice and check for any debris once you have done this unplug the printer for about 20 seconds then plug back in and let it reset then try copying or printing a doc and see how you go!

Canon PIXMA MP450 "Servic Error 5100"

Try this... it worked on my MP450... Turn the printer on and open the lid, it shows the cartridges. Now let the cartridges settle to the left. You can notice that the cartridges run on a metal belt. It might be dirty, mine showed a black stripe on it. Take a cloth, a cleenex will be fine and clean it up. Move the cartridges to the right (force them with your hand) and clean the part of the belt left behind them. Now turn it off, close it up and turn it back on. It should work
