My HP Deskjet F340 won't print word documents

I can print from notepad. I have emptied the queue several times, have deleted and reinstalled the printer, (it makes a copy of itself occasionally) have selected it as the default printer - and none of these things have helped. Can you?

If it stays even after a few min right click "my computer" on your desktop and hit "manage" go to "services and applications" click "services" find the print spooler option and right click it and stop the service. Once stoped right click it again and start it. This should clear anything stuck in print queue trying to delete

1. make sure to check if the hardware is able to make color copies, that way u can be sure there is no harware issue. 2. You can download and run an HP utility tool that can help you fix the problem instantly from this page: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?cc=us&lc=en&lang=en&softwareitem=mp-91788-1 3. If you can print the document from Notepad, but not from the software program, contact the software program manufacturer for assistance. If these steps resolved the issue , you do not need to continue troubleshooting. 9. Remove and Reinstall HP software, then try printing again. If these steps resolved the issue , you do not need to continue troubleshooting. If the issue persists , continue to the next solution. 10. A power reset drains the power from the product and returns to the same settings after restarting. Item won't cancel out of print queue. How do I

I have run in to this more times then I would care to count. Unfortunately, what worked one time did not necessarily work on a different computer and sometimes even on the same one. If, after several reboots, the problem still exists, disconnect the printer from the computer. Try again and reboot one more time and try.
If that fails, make sure you have the cd with the drivers or go to HP's website and make sure they are available.
Delete the printer! Reboot 2 times.
At this point, the queue should be gone. Reinstall the printer, reattaching it when asked.

The printer issue is the "setup.ini" file.(notepad file) You have to add an entry for Windows XP under [SupportOS] list. You also have to add a file, and edit the hpf6122p.inf file to reflect the added file. Please contact me at: artb126@yahoo.com

Hp deskjet f340 series keep showing offline

hi,

follow the steps:

>unplug the usb cable from the back of the printer
> go to the printers folder inside the control panel
> right click on the printer icon and then click on delete.
> if the printer icon is deleted and if there are no more printer icons related to your printer, plug the usb cable back to the printer and wait for few minutes while it automatically installs the driver.
NB: if you are unable to delete the printer icon. then right click and click on "pause printing" and then again right click and clear the documents in queue. if it is done then delete it.

if you are unable to clean the documents in queue, then
click on Start-->Run, type "services.msc" and click ok.
Double click on print spoolers and then click on "Stop" and then click on "Start". Restart the computer. then try to delete the printer icon.

Thanks and regards,
Agnel
