Problem for Canon PIXMA MX310 All-In-One Printer
MX 310 Not seen in Mac printer list, so cannot install

I loaded the Mac disk which arrived with the brand new MX310 which arrived today. My Mac, running OSX 10.4.11 Tiger, said it was done successfully. I restarted as instructed, brought up a document to print, went to Page Setup but could not find the MX310 listed to ADD as a new printer.
I then rebooted several times.
I also tried downloading an MX310 driver from the Canon-Europe website having registered it - all to no avail.
Has anyone got a solution to this extremely irritating and frustrating problem please?

- I have the same problem i just recived my new mac with the printer but i couldn't install the drive ,i got this message "INSULATION FALIER".Any one had this before.

Did you connect the printer via the USB cable when prompted?
Also check the instruction manual to make sure it was setup correctly.
