Throttle position sensor

There isn't often any real symptoms that can be associated with a bad throttle position sensor because as soon as it becomes faulty it will trigger an obd fault, switch on the engine light and switch to the emergency running programme.

If you suspect it is faulty a code read is the first step and check the live data.

Yes, probably with a new image intensifier tube, or it could possibly be weak ccfl inverter with it coil. Contact the manufacture and they will give you ruff estimate on the cost for repairs. stewbison

I have several issues that I need some assistance with: how can I set up my NV 100 to IR useage and the on-off button does not shut down right away. Some times it will other times you need to work the...

Hello, on your Night Owl Optic NV100, it same as the Kalinka Zenith NV. First, you IR switch is a montary switch. As long as your finger push the button it stay on. Release the button it goes off.

The montary green glow after shuting off you monocular NV devise is do to capacitors discharging and keep the image intensifier tube on for a few seconds. The switch on/off is a Russian computer plastic switch it could stick sometimes. See if the rubber cover over the switch can be removed with taken it apart. If the rubber cover can be removed. Then a good switch cleaner to the clean the switches (both at the same time) See if this works. stewbison

Scope worked it was on a 22 lr shot it twice and the scope went black and will not light up at all now

Sir, there could be number of things that when south on your scope. Don't ask ATN for help. They will tell you box it up and sent to them. They will give a ruff estimate on what it going to cost to fix it. Another thing that they will tell you after they have received your scrope. "The scope is not worth the money to fix it.... You'll have more money invested in older model. This is what ATN will do: We (ATN) take in for a trade on a newer scope. We will give you excellent price for your none functioning scope" Watch it

I have repaired some of these factory repair jobs. Some times I wonder if they really repair them. Normally, it could be broken wire, bad switch, I am thinking this a Generation 2 image tube in it. I am also sure it has smart electronic in it (small microprossor). Self controlling gains, auto focus, auto shut off, low battery indicator.

You can unscrew the lens and look at the image intensifier tube and see what color it is. Does it have a thick black ring around the image tube? If it does, then this is the voltage multiplier for the tube. Operation voltage will be from 12KV to 18KV and some of the other tubes that cascaded in 3 stages will have operating voltage of 45KV in the form of switching DC volts off/on/off/on.-- It similiar to AC voltage, but not quit.

If you really take this scope apart. Draw diagram of the printed ciruit boards (ruff drawing, don't put the components on it just where the wires are solder to the boards), label the wires and indicate where on the printed circuit board where each wire goes. This also implies what on the other end of the wires. Thay way if wires brakes your'll know where it goes. Especially be carfully. If you get shocked, it not as bad as a spartk plug wire. About 1/10 the value.. I could continue, but look for bad correction, cold solder joints (they will kinda gray with no shin), check the switches. Best of luck, Keep you rubber in a cool dry place and get occilators in the exhaust tuned. Weld a steel plate on the valve covers that way a push rod want kill a spectator in the stands. stewbison-

Not used for 4 5 years battery out. new battery in and wont activate so who to take to or ship to in placerville calif or greater sacramento calif area

Call them first and see what it cost to repair it. I would clean the battery terminals where nice and shinny. See if the rubber boots the cover the IR and on/of switches can be removed without take the monocular apart. Try spraying of switch cleaner on the switches all they are Russian computer push button switches.

The reason why I ask you to call and see what it going to cost to repair this Famous Trails monocular is the whole unit is manufactured in Russia and Famous Trails install their name and logo. stewbsion

Atn day/night vision had scope on for maybe five minutes and left batteries in with the switch in the off position in the morning the batterieswere dead, was told to take batteries out when not in use

Hello, You turn off the scope switch, hey. But did you turn off the IR switch? Never leave batteries in you NV devise. It creates lot of problems. Just take them out and wrap those batteries in plastic bag each and store them in cool dry place. stewbison

Green light comes on but no picture. where is best place to get repaired in scotland

Hello, most of these night vision devises are repaired by the companies that offer to sell and service. It almost impossible to find someone other than the dealer to repair them. You try Morrision Optic they have big web page on the Internet. A little warning here. These companies they sell NV devises are not necessarily the manufacture of these NV devise. Russian make a lot of these NV devises for US NV companies.

I repair them also but it hard for me to get parts, and I can make other parts if I can find some dealer that will sell me parts For a 1st generation cheap Russian image intensifier tube will cost about $175 each and sometime I can get them cheaper. GB....stewbison
