6year old OKO-Lavamat 72640 won't go - showing E90 error code

I set the machine to do a quick wash at 40degrees, delaying the start by 8 hours so it would be just finished when I got home from work. But it hadn't started when I got home. It was showing E90 error message & lots of the lights were flashing. I didn't notice it doing this when I set it in the morning, but can't be sure. I can turn it off but every time I turn it back on the E90 message comes back & more flashing lights.
To be specific - the E90 code, the start/pause, the prewash & rinse+ lights all flash on & off. The 900 spin light & door light (green) both stay on.

Yes if you remove your soap draw and take a look inside you will see that there is all residue built on the top part of the internal draw, Either you can jet wash it off or replace the soap draw,,

this should solve your problem.. if that does not work then one of your solinoid valves at the back is faulty...

SOURCE: Zanussi ZWF1437W washing machine - wont start

The error message "Err" usually indicates that the wash program and option are not compatible. 40 degrees and 900 rpm Spin should be o.k.. I would try another wash program with no special options and see if the problem goes away.

SOURCE: Hi!

I've had the same problem. I removed the top lit and found some pressure transmitter and a pressure switch. I suspect that the pressure transmitter is use for measuring the waterlevel in the machine. I think the membrane loses its flexibility over the years.
I pulled of the hose from the transmitter and blowed and sucked a few times on the transmitter. After doing this the machine washes without a problem since then.

Hope it helps for you.

Lavamat 72640 will not pass 24min on wash timer. sometimes it will show a E40 code but not always.

Hi.

on Oko washing machines E40 means defective door lock. Since a faulty door lock switch may go out with vibration you often do not get the error all the time. The door lock switch must be tested and eventually replaced.

About mid cycle, a significant amount of water leaks out of the bottom. No error message comes up and the machine continues functioning. Machine is AEG oko lavamat 72640

Could the machine be overfilling due to a faulty pressure switch (controls the amount of water in the drum). Splits in the door seal or broken pipes?

AEG oko-lavamat 72630 update

It is a communication problem between the circuit boards inside the machine. It might be as simple as unplugging and replacing the wires, or you may indeed require a new circuit board.

Washine machines

Yes. There is a part that allows you to connect the cold water supply to both the hot and cold inlet hoses. It has worked successfully on our 6100 for 8 years or so. I think it was part of the original kit rather than a subsequent purchase - it's a Y-shaped yoke with an inlet connection and two outlets that accept the two hoses feeding the inlets of the machine. From memory i tink the situation is mentioned in the user manual somewhere.
