Check the glow plug.
Take off the bottom front panel, push the start button and look for a red glow. This glow plug is about the size of your little finger and is hard to see when it's off but you will see a red glow if it's working. No glow, replace the glow plug.

If it glows for a few seconds then goes out then the solenoids on the gas valve should be checked with an OHM meter.

    Yes, if you look underneath while you press the start and don't see anything happening then replace the igniter.

Whirlpool gas dryer no heat


Hello,
The problem is probably with the ignitor...these are very fragile and burn out easily or crack...
Replace it and you will be working again...

check the high limit cutoff stat and if you see the igtn glow red and a click after the problem is in the gas valve
