I need a step by step guide to scanning a doc that i want to print please

  • hi follow the instructions
  • 1

Clean the photo you want to scan. If you have canned air handy, blow dust and lint off the surface of the picture (not recommended for fragile photographs).

  • 2

Fire up your computer and Multi-function printer. Check your connections and look the printer over, cleaning the scanning surface and the underside of the document lid.

  • 3

Position the photograph face-down on the scanning surface. The alignment of your photo can be corrected in the editing process, but you can save yourself a step if you do this by hand, using the guides on the edges of the scanning area.

  • 4

Shut the lid. Be careful to not disturb the picture's alignment when closing the lid.

  • 5

Set the scan resolution. Increasing the dpi (dots per inch) count produces a clearer and sharper image and dramatically increases the file size.

  • 6

Click the scan button on the software interface or push the button on the face of the printer. A preview of your scan should appear on your computer monitor.

  • 7

Inspect the preview for any correctible flaws. If you need to start the scan over to fix something that went wrong, remember to label each scan of the same picture with a different name so you can sort through them quickly.

  • 8

Choose the best version and save it to your computer's hard drive

How do I scan a pic from printer to computer?

    Things You'll Need:
    • Computer
    • All-in-one printer
    1. Step 1 Blow the dust from your scanner and printing area with canned air. Clean the scanner bed and the underside of the document lid with a damp, lint-free cloth before scanning.
    2. Step 2 Get your computer and all-in-one printer turned on and talking to each other. Open the scanning software on your computer if needed. If not, you can use the controls on your printer to run the show.
    3. Step 3 Lay the picture to be scanned face-down on the glass. Square up the photo using the guides that are usually located along the edges of the scanning bed.
    4. Step 4 Close the lid.
    5. Step 5 Go for a higher dpi (dots per inch) count if you plan on displaying the scanned image at larger-than-life size. Otherwise, you can select a lower resolution.
    6. Step 6 Click the scan button on your computer's scanning software window. Some all-in-one printers need you to press the scan button on the printer itself; check the manual before using.
    7. Step 7 Get a preview of the scanned image up on your computer monitor. This might happen automatically depending on your software settings; if not, you will have to prompt your computer to display one.
    8. Step 8 Correct small defects such as red-eye in the image. Save extensive changes for later with dedicated photo-editing software.
    9. Step 9 Accept the scan and save to your hard drive. Remember to put your picture away.

    Scanning

ther are a few steps in this..First --scan your photo--then save it in a jpg file. and place it on the desktop as a shortcut to your photo. Go to your website--find the place where it tells you to upload pictures and when the pop up shows up-- click on the word browse..look for you photo on the DESKTOP and double click on it. this will tell the computer to send it to that website. It should say downloading. then the pic will get to the site you chose. You have to download from you website as it is easier than sending to the web address.
