All my connections are correct....I have a 2002 Mit's and suddenly the DVD stopped playing....repair guy said my board that controls the DVD player is "blown." Any suggestions on replacement board or how can I fix the existing board?

The problem could be dirt on the surface of the lens, you can clean this by removing the cover of the dvd player .
Gently use a dry cotton bud to clean the lens because the lens is fragile.
Insert the disc plate into the dvd player and press play, if it does not play try the second method.
Ensure the cover of the player is open, connect the power plug to the mains socket and observe the lens if it beam a red light, Also check the ribbon cable use to connect the lens to the printed circuit board, then gently clean the lens with a dry cotton bud , insert the disc plate and press play to see if it play.
If it does not play the disc, then this require a change of the lens
You need to use the video and audio outs located in the rear of the samsung player, or if you want to use the rf connector(atenna in) on the tv you need to select analog channel 3 or 4 to get a picture through, you can down load an owners manual at wwwretrevo.com.
I would suspect the powersupply. Check 2 electrolitic capasitors on the powersupply board, I believe they are 25v at 1500mf.
They will be noticable bad by the bulging tops. This unit is a nightmare to work on so if you have any doubt of your abilities, play it safe and call a Mit. Service repair facility.
Hope this helps,
I unplugged the manual switch electrical connection. Everything works just fine with the remote.
Not sure what is wrong with the switches just yet, but suspect a resistor problem. I have checked all voltages and have 5.04 v feeding the switch assembly on what I feel are the correct circuits
(5v, ksco, ksc1, man/reset). I have no voltage on the ground circuit with the board plugged in, so the ground circuit should be ok. I have tested all switches with ohmmeter, all switches work. I suspect a resistor problem as I have one with no voltage drop and one resistor with no voltage pass-thru. Would need a wiring schematic with values to pinpoint better.
Perhaps 2 things. Does TV get a picture without DVD connected? If so I would bet you have a faulty connection in your signal board where the in jacks are at the back of the TV . Check to make sure cable from DVD are not bad, I have used cables before and got a false positive. Try turning and spinning the jacks once you have a picture.Make sure your signal board is firmly pressed into its slot on the signal board chassis. Thats it for now. Good luck.
If you're not able to find the right channel on your TV to use your DVD player, you may want to try changing the TV's input source instead. Many TV models will require that the TV be set to an external antenna in order for any other device (like a VCR or DVD player) to function correctly. This can usually be done by pressing the menu button on the TV itself and selecting an option similar to "Input," "Source" or "Antenna" if you do not have a remote control for your TV.
