Question about Coby DP-768 7-Inch Widescreen Digital Photo Frame with MP3 Player & 2 Wood Frames

Open Question

My digital photo frame won't recognize my jpg files

It tells me they are the wrong file format and refuses to play them.  However, if I keep the jump drive in long enough, it automatically starts to play the photos as a slide show.  There has to be a better way to start the slide show than waiting through error messages and blank screen before anything happens!  Also the play button doesn't work - none of the controls work.  It just plays the pictures as it sees fit and when it sees fit!  I have no control over it at all!  Help!

you can move them to another card (i recomend a cheap usb stick) just move from the camera card to a folder in your computer and then copy them to the usb drive/stick and plug it in the picture frame

SOURCE: Cannot get AVI or MPEG

You need to convert the video with a resolution of 240x120 in AVI or MP4.
Thanks, Sandeep.

SOURCE: I have a digital photo

Your 4GB card is actually an SDHC card, not an SD card. While SDHC cards will fit into SD slots, they are electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to use an SD (or MMC or xD or MS), 2GB and smaller.

Cannot see pc MOV or JPG files on flash drive in Canon SX230

Thanks very much for responding to my problem.
It seems Canon will not allow edited pictures or video to transfer from PC to their digital cameras for viewing.
steps to my problem:1. my canon SX230 created all the parts for my WMV video in MOV format originally.
2. created a movie (WMV format) in Windows Live Movie Maker. Works well and plays on my PC (windows 7).
3. after WMV completed - converted to HD MOV format in 2 different file convert programs and with 2 different HD MOV resolution settings on Both programs. WMV resolution is 1920x1080 (HD). ALL 4 MOV videos play well on my PC in 2 different programs.

Steps getting Canon to see video in playback mode.1. copy MOV video from PC to Flash drive in my card reader in same folder as my original JPG & MOV files, then inserted into camera - does not recognize file.
2. copy MOV file from PC to camera with USB cable. Windows error message. Wrong format - would not copy.
3. Formatted flash drive in camera. Took picture to create DCIM folder, JPG image, and CANONMSC folder with M0104.CTG file .Deleted CANONMSC folder. Copied my MOV video from PC to camera (USB cable). this time copy successful. However camera does nor recognize file.
5. tried again except deleted M0104.CTG file but not the CANONMSC folder. no luck.
It seems Canon will not recognize any file that has not originated in the camera AND has not been altered. Upon researching answers on the NET - many other users of Canon cameras have the same problem with no luck.

Hi, I have been loading pics onto my new Digital Photo Frame. I've loaded the pics just fine, however, the pics will slide by just fine, then the next slide says "No Support", then I have pics,...

Hi bon_kahlua_r,

It means that your Digital Photo Frame might not have support for the file formats of some pictures that you saved. Most Digital Photo Frame supports *.jpg formats. Please check the manual of your Digital Photo Frame as well as the files that your saved. Right-click on the pictures that are not supported then Click Properties. You should be able to see the file format of the picture then compare it to the Frame's manual if it's supported.

Thanks

How do you add music, videos, and photos to your mp3 player?

Check the specification of your MP3 player for the types of file format it can play for music, videos and photos. The most common file formats for MP3 players are mp3 for music, avi for videos and jpg for photos. You need to convert the music, video and photos into these file formats before copying them to you MP3 player via the supplied USB cable from your computer.
For instructions on converting music files, click on this link and follow my instructions :-
http://www.fixya.com/support/r5874192-play_videos_mp3_player
For photos, save them in jpg file format before copying them to your MP3 player.

Please could you tell me in simple terms how to import my photos from my computer onto a sandisk for my digital photo frame

Very simple. Insert the memory card into the card reader of your computer. It will appear in My Computer as one more disk. Select all the files of pics that you want to see on your digital frame, press ctrl + C keys. Click open the memory card icon and paste the files there with ctrl + V.
But you must make sure that the files are in the same format as the frame is capable of handling, ie, .jpg or whatever. You can get this info from the frames user guide. Generally, .jpg and .gif are universally accepted. Besides these all brands have their own whims and fancies

I've got a LOGIK PF-A850WD 8.5" digital photo frame. I've copied photos onto an INTEGRAL 512 MB. When i try to view photos the frame says NO PLAYABLE FILE. How to I fix this/

Please make sure that the photo files are in the root directory of the memory photoframe (ie, not within a folder).  That they are in a readable file format (.jpg) Check to see that the frame is reading from the internal memory and not the card slot.

Insignia digital photo frame won't recognize some .jpgs

When you save in Photoshop make sure you select "Baseline ("Standard") on the JPEG options when you save. That should fix the problem for you. It did the trick for My Kodak SV710 digital frame which wasn't displaying images I had edited in photoshop.
