Since it is a wireless , it needs a transmitter.
Connect the receiver to the amplifier you need to use or to the mixer .

SOURCE: What do I need to provide phantom power to Shure
You will need a Shure PS1A phantom power supply if you want to use the manufacturers recommended part although any phantom power supply that puts out 11 to 52 volts D.C. positive at both pins 2 and 3 with a current drain of 1 to 1.2ma should work. Behringer makes good affordable ones. Check out this link:http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/PS400.aspx Hope this helps.

Hi, the metal cover unscrews and then the head pulls out. The XLR on the bottom has a small grub screw that should be screwed IN, then the xlr comes out.
Hope it helps

Check the battery with a volt meter. If the battery measures lower than 8 volts on a volt meter, replace the battery. I have seen entire cases of brand new batteries that are defective. Make certain to check it with a volt meter. If the battery tests fine, then send the bodypack to Shure for repairs. www.shure.com/service

Unfortunately, there are many types of counterfeits out there. So, differences that you see posted online might not apply to all counterfeits. That is, various factories in China produce the counterfeits differently. The best thing to do is to completely avoid unreliable sources, such as eBay and Craigslist. Be extremely suspicious of any products on the internet.

Make sure you are using balanced XLR to XLR mic cables. A Karaoke type unbalanced will not send the Phantom power to the mic. You either have to use XLR to XLR or XLR to TRS cable. Use of TS plug will NOT work..

Thank you, I finally realized what was missing. I guess it also has to be a certain frequency also.
