Question about Hotpoint 18 in. DC28 Slim-Line Built-in Dishwasher

We have a nearlynew DC28 Aquiliser system

Some operating inefficiencies require us to check if we are using the best programme. Unfortunately we have mislaid the manual & would like to have a replacement if possible

Just stopped working


Hi there I'm sorry to learn your DC28 has had a problem. More information would be required to try and accurately diagnose the problem but if the power has simply cut out, I would first check the fuse in the plug.

Long and short tubing


Hi Sharon, it's Jack at Dyson.

To replace the internal hose (the short section of flexible hose underneath the cleaner head), please follow the steps shown in the video above. The internal hose has a push-fit connection at both ends - please make sure it's pushed firmly into place.

If you remove the clear bin and cyclone pack from the machine as if you were about to empty it, you should see the hose release tab to disengage the hose from the machine.

I'm sorry to hear about this. When your vacuum is standing upright, the suction should be automatically diverted to the wand and hose for above-floor cleaning. From what you've described, it sounds like your machine may have a blockage, or something jamming the changeover valve which is preventing it from moving freely.

If it doesn't seem to be picking up as well as usual, it's possible that there's a blockage in the system, and you may need to give the filters a wash. The easiest way to check for and remove any blockages is to follow the steps shown in our online support guide:

How do i change the belt on my dyson dc28

DC28 has a belt which should not require replacement. If you're concerned that the brushbar doesn't seem to be rotating when the cleaner is reclined into the vacuuming position, you'll find it helpful to run through our online troubleshooting guide to check everything is correct with your cleaner:

The vacuum has stopped sucking things up. The belt appears to be okay.
