Type 192.168.0.1
the default will be 'Admin' for username and 'password' for password.
don't mess about with anything else, apart from 'Set Password', if you are not sure exactly what you are changing.
write it down somewhere safe!
:)
hope this helps

have you tried 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.2.1?
the third number will be 1,2, or 3.
if it isn't then the router is set to some custom setting, in which case, you can press and hold the reset button (probably the little hole at the back, with something sharp like a paper clip) which will restore it back to factory settings. then try one of those gateway numbers above again.
    good luck terry

My Netgear adsl router is not getting connected to Internet in pppOe mode ..

POPE configuration is logs into your ADSL system and connects to your ISP provider server to link , so one of the reason why it dosent is due to either password and username not correct. Log unto IP address of your Router and go to WAN configuration , Check your username and password and reset to the initial password and username your ISP provider gave you , when you signed up with them. Then apply changes , off your router for 1 min and then power it , then wait for the ADSL light on the router to be stable , connect to the IP address of your router again and "Volla" , it should be fine , if not , contact your ISP provider....

Forgot password

The system's default password is located on the back of the unit. A series of numbers and or letters in brackets. If you have changed the default password, you will have to reset the router back to factory by pressing the reset button on the back for up to 1 minute. Once this is done, you will lose your Internet Access until the unit can be configured through the wizard provided by your ISP. You will need to call your ISP and provide your credentials in order to have them assist you (free). The basic routine is to configure your ISP provided email address and password to connect via PPOE. Once that is done, you should be back online and able to configure any other settings you may need for firewall settings, manual IP addresses etc. If you need more information, feel free to contact me. I use this same exact unit with my IT business. I have to reset it occasionally as these are not very stable, especially on the wireless side. I am also on my 3rd one for bad power supplies in the last year.

Need network security key or passphrase for my netgear DG834Gv4/DG834GBv4 !!! PLEASE( IP 192.168.0.1)

There is a login key for the router that can be accessed by opening the
address http://192.168.0.1 as described: after the login all settings inside the router can be changed.
Note: use a wired connection when going into the routers' ip address.

When you can not login with the default password, reset the device:

Restoring the Default Configuration and Password
This section explains how to restore the factory default configuration settings, changing the
router’s administration password to password and the IP address to 192.168.0.1. You can erase the
current configuration and restore factory defaults in two ways:
• Use the Erase function of the Web Configuration Manager.
• Press the WPS button and Wireless button on the side of the router simultaneously. You can
use this method for cases when the administration password or IP address is not known.

Resetting to Factory Default Settings
You can use this method for cases when the administration password or IP address is not known.
To restore the factory default configuration settings:
1. Press and hold the WPS button and the Wireless button on the side of the router until the Test
LED turns on (about 10 seconds).
2. Release the buttons and wait for the router to reboot.

WIRELESS SECURITY + PASSPHRASE
The wireless security is a network name for wireless connection called
SSID: the identification name of your router.
The passphrase is used for a secure password getting permission to have wireless data transfer from the router to the computer and vice versa. ( No internet connection so far: only Local Area Network [LAN] )

MODEM
Because the device is a router / ADSL modem you'r able to setup the
modem part for connection on a telephone line to the internet / Wide Area Network [WAN] .
You should use passwords from the Internet Service Provider [ ISP ] enter and save them in the modem section of the device.

Problem with wireless network!!

You don't need the CD no. What you need to do, is reset the router if the old wireless authentication key is still activated. To do this, locate the little hole at the back of the router, and use a pen to press it in for approx 30 seconds. This will reset the router to it's default values, and allow you to configure the authentication and such yourself.

Username and password

You will probably need to reset your router to get access to it again with a known username and password. BEWARE THIS WILL PROBABLY RESET ALL CONFIGURATION INFORMATION AND YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETELY RECONFIGURE YOUR ROUTER INCLUDING POSSIBLY ISP SPECIFIC INFORMATION. If you cannot do this including knowledge of all the required answers and proceed anyway you may lose access to your internet connection until this is successfully done. Proceed beyond this point AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Follow the link below to determine the model of your router

Router Link

As your profile indicates you are from Australia -- there is a link at the top of the page for a DI-624+ that may also apply to you.

If this does not work or your model is not a DI-624 as indicated try the following Assuming you have a DLINK router

Go to www.dlink.com
Choose your country
Choose Support
attempt to access product information -- if your model does not appear there may be legacy products link on the page to choose

Download your user guide.

The following link may provide an emulator for your router to allow you to preview the configuration process (this does not configure your router. You may have noticed this emulators link earlier when accessing product information above, if you could not use the link.

Emulators Link

AGAIN PROCEEDING BEYOND HERE CAN RESULT IN THE LOSS OF ACCESS TO YOUR INTERNET SERVICE -- proceed with care.

Doing this will may require you to configure specific ISP required entries into your router to restore internet access, I do not know what those requirements are now. I may be able to research them if you provide information about your internet service provider such as their web site or help/support web site. Be aware that you will require all answers for this before doing it as you may not have internet access again after starting this until you successfully complete this. With all the previous warnings in mind you can consider the following step.

Using the instructions in the user guide you can probably reset your router and get access to the configuration.
