Question about Kodak EASYSHARE 5100 All-In-One Printer
All of my prints whether in color or black and white have a red-purple tint. I've tried re-installing the firmware, several new ink cartridges, unplugging it to "reset" the printer and nothing has worked. I finally went through Kodak's online troubleshooting guide and answered their questions and followed their steps. By the end it was determined I needed a new printhead. You also have the option of calling kodak but online was much quicker. Now all I have to do is wait 2-5 days for the new printhead to come in the mail.
Your machine may have a function to my LEXMARK. At LEXMARK Solution Center I select MAINTENANCE. Here there is a maintenance tool to "clean to fix horizontal stripes". When selected, it cleans and tests the nozzles while printing a test page. It even has a CLEAN AGAIN button.
Your machine should have a similar function. Hope this helps.
