You need to have the bike serviced at a shop that can correctly clean the carb and empty the gastank and put fresh fuel in. Sometimes carbs get dirty in places you cannot see. Those places are the reason your bike doesn't run right.

SOURCE: High Idle On Start-up.

Most fuel injected motorcycles do start up in a "fast idle" mode. Although I don't know much about fuel injection on Harleys (H-D will not tell you much about it unles you are one of their technicians), I don't think the system is equipped with an engine temp sensor. Since the crank case sensor get it's pulses from pockets cut into the outer edge of the left side flywheel half, the sensor will have oil on it.

SOURCE: suzki ozark 250 cleaned out tank and carb runs but will not idle

sounds like the float is not working properly , could also be the jet. would be a good idea to buy a carb kit, not very expensive and save a lot of grief.

SOURCE: throttle hesitates early, and also stalls when trying idle-carb

yes it sure does. get fresh gas too. if you are in the US, get Berrymans B12 fuel additive, double dose throw in tank and run bike til hot, then leave it to stand overnight. see how it is next day. if no better. remove air cleaners and get spray Berrymans , lift up sliders in carbs and spray a ton inside, again leave this overnight to break down the gum and varnish. if neither work then you are gonna have to pull them carbs and open them up to clean.

2000 Buell Blast runs great around town. Freeway speeds runs for 3 to 5 miles then out of nowhere dies. Acts like it's running out of fuel then dies. I have pulled the carb and cleaned the jets. C

If it starts up after sitting for a few minutes, (like 2 or 3) it could have a plugged fuel filter or the gas tank strainer built into the fuel valve could be plugged too. Drain the gastank anyway and change the gas with fresh. can't hurt. If it takes 15-30 minutes or after the bike cools some I would look at an ignition coil. Check to see if it has spark next time it quits.

I put new fuel new filter cleaned carb and replaced enrichener, checked for power to enrichener, and was good, if I hand choke or use starting fluid it starts but is cold blooded but then runs fine wh

The blast almost doesn't need the enrichener unless your trying to start it in 30 degree weather. I would think that you have a fueling issue - carb air passages are plugged. There is a lot to cleaning a Keihn CV carb correctly. if not done the right way it will act just as you describe.

I have a 2000 buell Blast that wont start without either, or hand chokeing , have replaced auto enrichener, and it still wont start by it,s self? have taken the carb off several times, and it seems all...

Pull the plug and check to see if you have any spark. If not - pull the round plastic cover off off the ignition module(just above the oil filter) and look for the red led. It should flash when you crank or start the bike - assuming the fuse for it is good - if it doesn't flash its bad.

My 2002 buell blast is newly re-jetted after Jardine exhaust was put on. it was running like ****, would bog down and had very little power,so followed advice for re-jet and cleaned it out really good but...

You messed something up on the carb. either the float is too high or too low, letting in too much gas or not enough. or you might have plugged up one of the fuel passages inside the carb accidently. either way - you have had a good fiddle with it - probably time to take it to a shop.

2000 Buell Blast will not turn over

You have fuel in the tank, but is the float bowl full? Loosen the bowl drain, see if ya got gas. All the new bikes have vacuum operated fuel petcocks, and it takes forever in the spring to crank em long enough to fill the bowl. Take the line off the petcock, fill it with a small funnel with fuel, then put it back on, and fire it up.

Buell blast is backfiring. Sat for 2 years so, cleaned fuel tank and cleaned carb. It will start now but is backfiring and will die of I try to idle. Thanks

If you did not completely disassemble the carb and remove all jets/emulsion tubes/needle valves then you did not clean the carb adequately. You could try adding either Seafoam, the Yamaha CARB-CL-EAN-ER, or Techron fuel system cleaner in an auxiliary gas tank and running the engine for a short while to ensure the mix gets into all the nooks and crannies. Let it sit for a couple hours to do the work, then drain out the float bowl, hook up the bike's gas tank and see what happens. Otherwise you need to remove, strip, clean, reassemble, and reinstall the carb.

01 Buell blast starts but won't take gas

make sure carb is cleaned properly, throttle cables adjusted properly, idle is set properly all of this iaw a buell service manual! Buell Blasts do not have a sump; the oil after it has warmed is the actual level; after it sits a few days the oil "sumps" into the crankcase and indicates a low or in your case a proper level. this is a common occurance on HDxl motors and buells. the proper way to check your oil is after the bike is warmed and either on the stand or upright and level depending on year and model. Refer to your owners manual or service manual. if carb is cleaned and adjusted properly investigate for intake leaks. main jet doesn't contribute to fuel delivery until about 2500+ rpm on the blast; if it is stalling before that point check slow jet; you will theoretically be checking/cleaning all jets and the vacuum piston/ diaphram. engines are engines, however all brands have specific nuances and should be worked on by make specific techs. if you are planning on doing your own work get a manual, you will be surprised how much you learn and how easy it will be....T
