Question about E-Machines e15t 15" Flat Panel LCD Monitor
I was sitting at my computer a couple of nights ago when my monitor switched off. Screen, power light, everything. The light on the transformer on the cord is still on, and when I unplugged it and plugged it back in, the computer made its obligatory noises for when you unplug and re-plug a USB device. I rebooted the computer, and still, no dice. Anyone have a suggestion?
Some older LCDs (I've only encountered this issue with LCDs) are 100% "comfortable" only with their
native resolution. So, if the resolution is set to anything but their native resolution problems like
the monitor wouldn't wake back up can be faced by the user.

If you have another monitor at home, try the other monitor. If not, take your computer to a friends house and try their monitor. I have a similar problem with my Compaq Presario SR1120NX. It turns on fine, then after a while screen saver kicks in, turns off monitor. Monitor status light turns amber. I move the mouse and it never turns back on. Have to hold power button down, then turn back on to get video back. Any suggestions?

With the computer on shine a flashlight on the screen where the Windows Start button would normally be. If you can faintly see it then your backlight has malfunctioned. Check your warrantee to see if you?re still covered. If not then it is repairable at most TV or computer repair shops. If you can?t see anything with the flashlight try connecting the monitor to another working PC. If the problem follows the monitor: -Check the monitor for bent or corroded pins. -Again see if you warrantee is still active or take it to a repair shop. Let us know if you have any other questions and please don?t forget to rate this post.
