Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
When scanning documents, I get very grainy, streaked and smudged scans with a dark band across the short axis of the document. Copies come out with the same streak pattern, so I thoroughly cleaned the glass but with no better results. Increasing scan resolution did not help and I could not fix the images by tweaking the settings in the HP Document Manager program.

Clean the glass thoroughly using Isopropyl alcohol. Dont use solvents. Check if there is any scratch on the glass. Repeated scanning with stapler pins can scratch the glass. If it is scratched, you may need to chage it.
