Do I need to cover the cage at night? - Birds

They can be very friendly if raised from babies. They need to be caged at night or they will cause you grief.

Most fans of this type have a cover between the motor and the actual fan. The cover is usually metal, sometimes plastic and usually has 4 or more screws holding it down. Remove the screws and the fan and cover will come out as one assembly (Sometimes there's a rubber seal between the cover and the housing that may be sticky you may have to gently pry up around the cover to free it from the base its screwed down to). To remove the motor you need to remove the squirrel cage from the shaft, then the cover can be removed and the motor replaced.

This depends on your birds. If noise/light does not interrupt your bird from sleep than you should be fine without; however if your bird is easily disturbed, you may want to try using a cover so that they remain undisturbed.

In general, the larger and the more active the bird, the larger the cage one should use. The amount of time the bird will spend in the cage each day is also a factor. A bird that is caged most of the time requires far more space than a bird caged only at night.

Wire floors even the ones with narrow spaces, can causesores to your pet. The best cage will be without wire floor (even if it iseasier to clean...). If you have a wire floor, it should be covered with grass ora piece of wood or even sisal mat.

Yes! Even when it is dark, some birds will not go to sleep until the cage cover is on. It indicates to them that it is bed time. I can tell you that my birds insist that I'll have their cage cover on and I find that they settle down faster and go to sleep sooner.

im not sure if that is your starter
sounds more like the starter clutch
and for that you will need to remove your clutch cover
also the clutch cage
the starter clutch is located behind the clutch cage
remove the clutch cage
and the starter clutch is either on the rear of the cage or a separate unit
it looks like a ring the size of the clutch cage
and has slots in it with roller bearings the slide in and out the often stick because of old oil residue
and if they stick it stops your starter engaging with the clutch housing to turn your engine over

1. Unplug the purifier
2. Remove the two screws on the back cover and remove the cover.
3. Remove the two screws on the the top that hold the lint screen and remove the screen.
4. Remove the purification plate by sliding it out.
5. Remove the RCI target plate by sliding it out.
6. Disconnect the purification plate contact lead wires from the purifier plate cage.
7. Remove the two screws at the bottom of the plate cage.
8. Slide the cage forward, lift and remove the cage.
9. Rotate the uv bulb a quarter of a turn and lift it out of the unit.
10. Install the new uv bulb and rotate it a quarter of a turn to lock it.
Perform steps 1-9 in reverse order to reassemble the purifier.

The two sleeves go between the cage ends thus creating a "connection", and covering the ends of the two parts of the cage (stick the sleeves on one side, then insert the end on the other side of the cage).Make sense?
