I have Lexmark p4350 I can not copy, and show error 2200

According to the Lexmark site the 2200 error is a jam, possibly the scanner. Try unpluging the power at the printer, remove the paper, and see if there is any paper stuck in the unit. Another possibility is the cartridges are messed up. If you don't find paper stuck, remove the cartridges, and reinstall the color one. If the error goes away, the black cartridge is possibly bad. Another problem you can't fix, which is the scanner glass cracked. In that instance or if the cartridge swap doesn't work, contact Lexmark to fix the unit.

My Lexmark 4350 wont recognise a new colour cartridge why?

Please make sure the back plate is clean inside your printer. That the place where to contact points sits. Check the back of the cartridge aswell to insure all contacts are clean. If it still comes up with the error change the cartridge otherwise its a board or caridge wich you cant get new spares for.

The problem could be due to a communication failure between one of the printheads (cartridges) and the All-In One (AIO) or by a short in one if the printheads. Please follow the steps below to identify and fix cartridge issues:

  1. Make sure the printer is on.
  2. Open the printer cover. The print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position, unless the All-In-One is busy. Note: If the carrier does not automatically move to the center, turn off the printer or unplug the printer from the power source and then carefully slide the carrier to the center.
  3. Remove both cartridges from the carrier.
  4. Close the printer cover.
  5. Re-brick your printer by pulling out the power supply - black box behind the printer where the power cord is plugged in to, and re-plug after 30 seconds.
  6. When the printer turns on, reinsert one cartridge first. Close the printer cover and check for any errors.
  7. If no error appears, reinsert the other cartridge. Close the printer cover.
  8. Replace whichever cartridge is causing the error to appear with a new genuine Lexmark cartridge. Try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

A code 2200 is showing and my copier will not copy. How do I address code 2200?

The 2200 error code indicates that the scanner has stalled. It could be due to the cartridges or the encoder strip (transparent strip seated behind the cartridge carrier) has gotten loose from its position. Please follow the steps below to identify and fix the problem:
  1. Open the printer cover and remove the cartridges. Note: If the carrier does not automatically move to the center, turn off the printer or unplug the printer from the power source and then slide the carrier to the center for the loading position.
  2. Check the encoder strip and make sure it is secured in its place.
  3. Close the printer cover.
  4. Re-brick your printer. Pull out the power supply (black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer) and put it back after 30 seconds.
  5. When the printer turns on, reinsert one cartridge first. Close the printer cover and check for any errors.
  6. If no error appears, reinsert the other cartridge. Close the printer cover.
  7. Replace whichever cartridge is causing the error to appear with a new cartridge.
  8. If no error appears, try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

Lexmark 4300 printer suddenly stopped working. Replaced black ink cartridge--same erroe comes on eventhough the screen shows a fullk catrdge. I down loaded new drivers---nothing.I called the company direct...

Are you still able to scan or make a copy? Can your printer still do any of its functions? Try to remove the cartridges from your printer. Close the printer cover. Wipe the cartridge nozzles with a soft moistened cloth to clean the dirts and clogs. Unplug and replug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges and close the cover. Try to print again. If problem continues, please contact Lexmark technical support for additional assistance.

Error:2200

“Lexmark does not support the refilling of its ink cartridges. Refilling the ink cartridges can cause them to leak, thus clogging or even damaging the print head. Any damage to your printer caused by refilled ink cartridges may not be covered under warranty”. Please use genuine Lexmark cartridges for best results.
